First of all the fact that Brinker sounds smart and Ran doesn't can't be just glossed over. One is clearer smarter.

But Brinker's resume speaks for itself. He's been a scout, set the strategy for free agency, the salary cap, analytics etc.....

Brinker has also laid out a proven vision for the team and spent over a decade with a team that executed that plan to be one of the best teams in the league.

There is clearly a reason one has risen to the top and the other one fired

All I’m pointing to is that some of the people who were touting Carthon because he worked his way up in a respected front office like the 49ers are saying the same thing for Brinker

Sounding smart and actually executing a plan are two different things. He definitely passes the eye test in the intellectual category, but if he was part of the “collaborative” effort they all preached then his hands are not clean from the decisions that were made.

I say this as someone who believes Brinker will be successful for the same reasons you said. The additional information you laid out about his background is helpful and is what I was looking for.

Hats off to oldschool for taking the L.    If I’m wrong about something I will as well

Vrabel inherited a good team that was bolstered by Derrick Henry, Kevin Byard, and later Ryan Tannehill, all playing in their primes, and then AJ Brown, Corey Davis, and Jonnu Smith - all behind a ver

well fuck. The L is mine. I'm man enough to admit it.

His hands could def have some dirt on them in regards to off season moves. It's not the point he doesn't deserve the top spot imo

Totally agree. I actually felt hope after hearing his vision. Something I wish Ran would’ve been more clear on during his tenure here.

The wild card in all of this is Amy. If she can be patient then I think this could work really well.  But that’s a big if

I imagine it became clear who was handling their role better and more efficiently. When you report up to a CEO or Owner, the expectations are sky high and you better be more than just a JAG. In the end, I would bet Brinker was way ahead on selling a vision, explaining what went right and what went wrong and just overall executive level stuff.

Right or wrong.  Completely fair or not.  Carthon had accountability for the 2024 roster, scouting, and coaching efforts.  Training staff as well.

Beyond the 2024 roster, the position the team currently sits. Brinker talks patience and building through the draft and developing talent, acquiring draft capitol, limited exposure to free agents.

The team passed on QB prospects last year, traded away picks and spent a ton of money on big named free agents. The Titans have two picks in the top 3 rounds.

Now we need a QB an have limited quality draft capitol.

Contrast that with Carthon being incapable of stating his vision and contradicting AAS' statements when they let Vrabel go.  That probably was a definite "Oh Fuck what do we have here" moment.

This is no way defending Vrabel, he had to go....

But two things occurred to him. Will Levis totally sucked and Carthon was a moron. I don't think that makes Vrabel a prophet, he just got a closer look at the two them than everyone else

100% - but that's low hanging fruit.

Wise Amy Adams Strunk has excised the traitorous miscreant sabotaging the team from the inside!

We now have a certified genius who understands everything in charge. He will finally lead the team to the promised land!

So explain to us why she needed to keep Robinson, Vrabel, or Carthon?  I mean things were so great with no playoff wins, losing seasons, progressively worse results.....

I don’t think I’ve ever said these things.
