I feel like the teams lack of speed at the skill positions has a lot to do with that. The skill positions on this team have been historically slow for a long time. It's time to prioritize speed. Some clips of Aikman airing out his thoughts from that time have popped up in my YT feed. Apparently Switzer at that age wasn't interested in holding "grown men" accountable anymore and the 90s Cowboys slowly degraded into garbage over the next few years. Coaching matters. Doesnt mean they were a good unit and if they move on from the 1st time ST coach fine. But this nonsense they were historically bad all year is just fan drivel. As mentioned before, Anderson’s unit definitely was impacted by the bsck of roster decisions and did get better once they pivoted mid season to add some ST centric guys.
