Hats off to oldschool for taking the L.    If I’m wrong about something I will as well

It’s hard to call a guy who went to the playoffs three straight times, won coach of the year and got the number one seed a failure.

No it's not. One playoff run 5 years ago doesn't mean you are a success. Barely above .500 in the regular season, 2 home playoff losses as heavy favorites and 0-3 outside of the run in 2019.

The Ravens were 3.5 favorites in the loss.  I just looked it up.

His time in Nashville is going to be looked at as a success.

Ummmm..... he lost like 80% of his games the last 2 years lol.

I’m talking about as a whole.  I also think he mailed it in the second half of last year.  Not that it’s an excuse, he should never have done that.

Ill give you we had a great run. But it wasnt enough to save him imo. He was 9-6 for half of his time and we had the 2 years of awsome.

It wasnt completely his fault it fell apart but I think he did deserve to go.

Of course he deserved to go.  He wanted to go and essentially caused his own firing.  That’s what the outside doesn’t seem to get.  They rip on the Titans for firing Vrabel when they had absolutely no choice.  You can’t keep a coach who doesn’t want to be there.

I would argue he underachieved. Once Tannehill and the offensive weapons regressed, the team fell off. His defense was never anything special.

I liked Vrabel. I think he was a good coach. He wasn't a great coach, and people will disagree about how successful he was here, but at the end of the day, you are what your record says you are. Vrabel was 54-45 and went 2-3 in the playoffs.

The offensive weapons never regressed. The dumb ass GM let CD, Jonnu go and then traded AJ a year later.

Hard to (reasonably) argue he always sucked ... though Titans fans certainly try ... but just being able to point at his end as a failure makes it easy to say he was. Maybe not always or even on the whole but at the end.

No one said he sucked the whole time. Most coaches fail as the goal is to win titles.

I'm equating saying he underachieved even from 2019-2021 to saying he sucked the whole time. Maybe that's a bad interpretation ... but it's what I was getting at.
