And fuck ESPN and the NFLN you pricks can't go to a commercial before the #1 pick.

Let us old-school football guys take a moment appreciate to the fact that the Titans earned the #1 overall pick the old-fashioned way.   Not by tanking or by trading up, but by simply being

I'd hate Hunter. The Titans best position is likely CB and you don't take a WR that high. If the Titans traded down to 3 and Carter went 2 I'd rather trade down again and maybe go for someone like Mem

The fact the rest of the league knew while the Titans traded up in the 2nd for him makes it bad.  Handing him the starting job without competition after his shitty rookie year was even worse.

Absolutely terrible, he had 2 good games that’s it

I was so impressed when they didn't take him at 11. I thought wow, we have a legit front office that won't panic. Then they lost whatever conviction they had and traded up for him when it was clear he had no market. Terrible.

It was why they could never sell me on the pick. If they really believed he was a legit QB they'd have drafted him at 11.

I posted this to demonstrate these spider charts are flawed. Now that Ward is the presumptive first pick the confirmation bias is really setting in for many people.

Bias will always play in and stats can always lie. But I’d say Ward played in a more NFL-comparable offense than guys like Sanders or Dart did.

Mariota played in a gimmick offense in college that didn’t translate to the NFL. College stats are useful but they aren’t everything in terms of NFL projections.

The Air Raid Ward played in isn't any less gimmicky.....Saying that Ward seems to have a much of traits Mariota never had - leadership, hard work, processing ability, and throwing into tigher windows.
