I think it's obvious at this point the Titans are taking Ward. I'm on board and think his ceiling is pretty high. Callahan gave an interview to A to Z after the season that was super revealing about t

I'm totally fine with the Titans drafting Ward. Enough people think he can be good and he's shown enough NFL traits. It would not be like the Titans overdrafting Anthony Richardson or Trey Lance.

Im curious what he would say behind the scenes about it.

Cam suprised the shit out of me how in command he looked of an nfl offense even in his first month as everything was going haywire. He does look better now but Id love to be able to really hear about the changes.

Some of the stuff is obvious that we can even see. As in charge as he looked you could tell it was like he was trying to do stuff like he did in college. Some of it worked like his damn near patented rollout to the right with that terrible looking move that always lets him get around the corner. Other stuff like getting use to when its ok to take off, when to check down we saw week to week.

Didnt take him to long to stop fading back forever. Throwing it side arm on short crossers took him a bit to shake.

The part he is speaking about in generalizations though is the stuff I wish we could get more indepth info on.

You do if he sucks like Josh Rosen or Dwayne Haskins.

I wonder how long they would have lasted if the rookie wage scale wasn't around. Even jamarcus Russell got 3 years. Well, 2 if you go by nunber of games played.

Cam’s increased understanding and comfort level is reflected in his numbers before & after the bye week.

weeks 1-9 (nine games)

5 TD, 6 INT

1.7% TD rate

57% completions

72.1 passer rating

38 sacks in 333 dropbacks (11% sack rate)

7 fumbles

11 total turnovers

weeks 10-15 (six games)

8 TD / 1 INT

3.9% TD rate

62% completions

89.3 passer rating

13 sacks in 215 dropbacks  (6.0% sack rate)

2 fumbles

2 total turnovers

  • Dramatic improvement in TD/INT ratio.
  • Dramatic decrease in turnovers across the board.
  • TD rate has more than doubled.
  • Passer rating improved by 17 points.
  • Sack rate dropped from 11% to 6%
  • Cam threw for <60% completions six times in the first nine games….but only once in the past six games.

He's gotten better. He's also not playing as many top defenses.  He had a brutal schedule to start his rookie year -  with little to help him.

It’s almost like Cam Ward is exactly the QB I told everyone he would be. Culture changer and the hardest worker in the room. Wants to win more than anything.

His durability really is one of his greatest assets too

This offseason will be super important for Cam. If we can't improve the roster and staff to build around him it will be tough for him to become something. He has improved since the bye against lower quality defenses. The young guys are stepping up some. The run game getting going has obviously helped him.

What I really do not like is how bad he is missing some throws. He isn't even giving our guys a shot to make a play.
