The sexism is out in full force. It will be fun to see them cry the victim when we call out their blatant sexism.

There is a difference in hating all women with pointing out the deficiency in ONE woman.

Yet, lefties aways take things to the extreme.

Lots of Americans are serious about beating Trump.

This is absolutely the correct tone to take and I'm glad they're finally calling things like they are and not beating around the bush. His behavior is egregious on so many levels. Just fucking say it

Trump praised commie Putin for the prisoners swap. He'd rather suck up to Putin than celebrate Americans coming home.

A majority of economists surveyed by The Wall Street Journal said former President Donald Trump’s policies would be more likely to reignite inflation than President Joe Biden’s would.

Of the 50 economists who answered questions about Trump and Biden in the survey, 28 of them said the risk of a return to high inflation levels was greater under the plans proposed by the Republican, than under those of the incumbent Democrat.

Surely you know the president doesn't control interest rates

He doesn't really care about interest rates or inflation much less the cause. It's just a negative he can use to try to hit back on dems.

She is not. Regardless of policy though she'll be interpreted as more left because of her identity.

Why is this always always always the go to for liberals? Dems had enough legit question marks about Harris when she ran her campaign that she finished last. Dems want to throw insult after insult at others and then cry sexism or racism every time someone questions their candidates. Harris is a pretty weak candidate… that’s not sexism… her own party told you it was the case.

Harris has three tests to pass in the next 6 weeks.  Her VP pick, her acceptance speech and the debate with Trump, assuming there is one.  Let's see if she can pass those test before attempting to draw a straight line back to her campaign 4 years ago.

No matter how many times she utters this idiotic mantra, Harris will be heavily burdened by the disaster that has been the Biden administration. Burdened by her own dismal record as vice president. And burdened by the fact that she is so uniquely unqualified to be President.

According to her record on govtrack.us, she most certainly is.

That's not a foolproof way to quantify things. That site put Obama well to the left of Biden and even to the left of Harris!

I am not sure we are on the same page here. I am talking about broader perception--it is inarguable that her identity will play a role in how people perceive her--the same is true for Biden, who is an old white man. A vast majority of people are going to assume she is farther left or progressive than she actually is. Others will pick up on her time as a prosecutor.

I was not saying this to call her a strong candidate or insult anyone else.

I was responding to your point, very broadly speaking, that Biden is actually to the left of her stance, but that perception will shape whether or not (or how quickly people see this). Being further "left" is not a good or bad thing in my opinion, it is neutral. It is fine to have nuanced conversations about perception and identity.

Now, that being said I welcome people asking legitimate questions and challenging her campaign (that's fine to do).

On the other hand, I will gladly point out the blatant and obvious sexism when it occurs, which we are already clearing seeing in these threads.

Yes, well aware. And if the conversation is actually criticizing her as a candidate and not foaming at the mouth inanity you won't hear a peep from me.

That being said, women are going to be a critical force in this election. I imagine the women who are struggling with childbirth or considering relying on in-vitro or have experienced a miscarriage are going to come out and vote against the anti-maternal health conservative movement. I imagine those who know someone or who has been in an abusive relationship are paying attention to the goals of ending no fault divorce.

Trump's issues with women are well documented, from the gross to the abusive, and he's persisted thus far. With these issues intersecting with actual policy--it will be interesting to see how this affects turnout.

Do you know what Trump's stance is on abortion?

Anyone with a functional brain knows that Trump will run on states being able to enact whatever bans they want. He won't do anything to protect abortion in states that want it though.

If a national ban ever came to his desk he would sign it. Do you honestly believe he wouldn't?
