Time to take University of Houston to Court…

So tired of this. University of Houston in particular look stupid for doing this. 

 

The only way to end this is to use the fucking uniforms. 

 

Oilers unis + Titan Sword. How will these pricks feel when they force our hand and we are using the blue full time?

They own the trademark for that uniform design whether they wear them or not. It will be a matter of whether the courts think the University of Houston uniforms are similar enough to violate the trademark.

The irony is that the Houston colors are scarlet red and albino white.....

 

But make no mistake the Oilers classic uniforms should be put back into as the team's base.  Brand it back to the Oilers and tell them and the Texans to fuck right off.

If the City of Houston loves the old uniforms so much….it seems to me they probably should have made a bit more of an effort to keep the Oilers 30 years ago.

In the meantime, the Titans should play it off as if these teams are helping celebrate the franchise.  Tweet out how they are flattered at their (illegal) homage to a historic team, now located in Nashville.  Then direct them to the Titans Pro Shops to sell them the Merch.

I'm still salty about the move after all these years. Fuck Lanier and Adams both for letting it get to the point the team relocated. Every time this subject comes up I always think back to how the Astros, Rockets, and Texans all had brand new state of the art stadiums within 10 years of the Oilers leaving.

This garbage could end with one simple move.  Change the uniforms.  I think 2027 would be a good time to rebrand, coinciding with the new stadium.

Yes, I understand the property rights part of the conversation. 

 

In terms of stopping this from being a constant talking point and to disassociate that brand from the city of Houston, we should use it.

Honestly ditch the titans moniker and just lean all the way into it: Tennessee Oilers. There are oil fields in TN, just not as many as TX
