The left side of the OL could be dominant

You guys remember when we took the most pro-ready offensive lineman from Alabama with a HOF o-line coach on the staff in 2013?   That was fun.

That is a horrible message to send to the fan base that your top 10 pick may fail at the position you hope he plays.

Something I suspected the longer the draft process went on but I'm willing to bet Fashanu didn't meet Bill Callahan's threshold of being a physical violent player.

I was very much team Alt but as the process went on, it became hard to ignore the voices of very respected coaches and evaluators who simply raved about Latham and his power.

They now have long term two top starters for the next decade.  Skoronski and Latham.  25' They can add another piece to set up a decade of solid OL play.  They are building.  This pick is like Sko.  They just added another premium player.

When we start winning, most fans won't even know who they are.

Wonder which way Levis is going to go on sneaks?

I'm a fan of the Titans. Clearly Bill C. knows O-line. Latham is an absolute freak.

But if things go mildly south where Olu is handling the best rushers while Latham gives up big sacks while gaining an extra .5 yards on left side runs, shit is going to look poorly.

Fun to get excited. And I'll believe in a Jets LT once D'Brickashaw comes out of retirement, not that he was amazing. But for every ounce of T. Smith or W. Jones upside, there's equal downside.

Olu may not have the upside, but there's a competent pass rush floor that felt Lewan-esque.

But TBD. Hoping for the best for the next couple of years.

Latham should be at least a good starting LT for 10 years. Anything less is a disappointment. I think he can do it.

After hearing the way he speaks about the game I think he certainly has the drive to at least be adequate in pass protection with the right coaching while being an absolute mauler in the run game. If he takes to coaching and develops his lateral agility he has a chance to be an All-Pro.

There's a ton of question marks about him and Sweat, but I feel better after hearing the way he goes about the game as well as seeing Sweat with a chip on his shoulder.

Dude is a freak

He's definitely not going to look shrivel up and look like a homosexual sloth like Lewan once he retires.  He's genetically engineered to be built like a house.

Hopelessness has come back.  We fire Vrabel!  Yea!  We're going to get a new offense and just win baby win!  Up Up and away!!  We got one of the best OL coaches in the league!  Yes!  Yes!

They drafted a guy to play LT.  WTF do these morons know about picking an OL?  Paw says he can play LT, he ain't concerned!  WTF!  What the hell does he know?

They don't understand.  We are the Titans.  It's not going to workout.

Is it going to the gym and just sitting there eating Krispy Kremes? 🤔

Latham will be dominant in the run game.  That will be close to 50 percent of his snaps.

He'll be really good against speed to power rushers as well. I think he'll struggle with guys who line up really wide and can beat him with pure speed, but there aren't that many of those guys, and there are things you can do to help him out in those situations.
