It's not that complex.  He played RT in college and was projected as a RT/Guard pre-draft.  He will likely be very good in those positions.  The idea of him moving to LT is novel and largely influenced by his draft slot.

Callahan's opinion of Latham should carry weight, but so should Nick Saban's, who never played him on the left side and dismissed the idea of doing so when asked.

I wasn't a fan of the pick and even I think you are over thinking it.

Edit: Also still don't belive Callahan is a magician but him moving a guy from right to left is not that big of a deal compared to the pre draft rambling that he could turn Seth Rogan into Joe thomas.

I think you have this backwards my guy. They're not forcing him to play LT because they took him 7th, rather they took him at #7 because they think he can play LT at a high level. Whether they end up being right is what we don't know but that's the case for every draft pick ever made. This is not exactly a Skoronski situation.

I'm not sure why you have to explain this. They may be wrong about Latham flipping to LT in the pros but its pretty obvious they drafted him to do just that. If he fails to make the change then we can rip them to shreds for being wrong.

Latham has also been a crazy workaholic at minicamp, staying way after practices to work. He isn’t going to fail because he’s lazy like Trash Panda.

Great, he's going to have a heart attack before the season from over working himself and sweat is just going to have a heart attack and we will be down our top 2 picks.

His major issue is quickness to his spot. That's really it. He said in an interview that the very first thing Bill C did in an interview is show him a technique to get to his spot quicker. And they did drills for that. He adjusted. Latham said it was an amazing experience.

Bill has converted Bama RT's before. He knows exactly what he has in JCL.
