Didnt know they didnt count bowl games back in the day. For all the 17 vs 16 games stuff we have been talking about latly the new playoff format could lead to some insane shit. Teams use to play 12-13 games. We are going have teams play what 16 this year?

You want to know how good Barry was? Thurman Thomas was a really good all american back at OSU and a senior during Barry's freshman year, Barry returned kicks and got very occassional carries. When OU went to play OSU, their cach, Barry Switzer, told their really good defense to make sure they didn't tackle Thomas too hard and knock him out of the game because the last thing he wanted was to get Sanders on the field and show how really good he was. Number9
Jim Brown career avg. 5.2ypc 104.3ypg still the all-time yards per game. Another difference is the training Jim received vs today. Drugs all NFL players use were not available in the 50's and 60's. It's really amazing a player from 60 years ago still holds an all-time record. Jim just played nine years and quit to become one of the worse actors ever in the history of Hollywood. Henry. Barkley. Both are great RBs, but Jim Brown was special and smart. He quit while he could still walk. Brown played 12 and 14 game seasons. RBs today are playing 17gm seasons, 35% more.

Henry needs 322 yards in the last game to break the record. You'd have to retarded to even consider it

You'd have to retarded to even consider it It obviously won't happen; no NFL RB has ever rushed for 300 yards in a game. (NFL record is 296 yards, set by Adrian Peterson in 2007). To break Dickerson's single-season record, Henry would also have to break the single-game record. But how crazy it would it to see both records fall in the same game. Ravens are still playing for a home game this Saturday. They either need to win (early game) to stay ahead of the Steelers (late game) or for Pitt to lose. So there is incentive to play the starters for as long as needed to secure the victory. The Browns are playing for draft position, basically. There is a decent chance for Henry to get a 200 yard game. 220 would surpass Barkley. Right now he is also 40 carries behind Barkley. In a loss to Cleveland, Henry had a 6.6 average. ((for the season, both Henry and Barkley are at 5.8 per attempt)) I do think if they have a good 1st half that the team will want to go for it
Bongo59
If they gave him 40 carries he'd come close.

nine
Real talk, here: a 6,000-yard game by Henry this week would put him within easy striking distance of Emmitt Smith's all-time record. Ya, and he only needs 75 carries this week to be on pace for the 380 you said he would have every year over the next 3 years.
