Took them a year just to get the roof off.  Probably take another two years to disassemble the rest of it and complete the move to Texas.

By 2029, the Waco Warriors should be good to go!

Is it public knowledge what is going to go where the old/current stadium is?  Just parking or some entertainment stuff (side stages, bars, games/football related competitions like FG kicking, etc)?

currently, the plan is for a grass lawn/park with vendors and walking paths and tailgate areas and shit. Along each side of that and where the current lots are is supposed to be buildings and apartments and bars /restaurants.

underneath the mall/ green area/ park is supposed to be some parking lots but I don't see that working out very well with out karst topography and being below river level.

It is my understanding that the old PSC metals sight (the junk yard that sits to the left of the stadium as you cross the bridge where I65 and I24 merge) will be parking. It sold back in August for 245 million. It is a 47 acre eye sore that the city of Nashville has been trying to get rid of for years. Word on the street is that is where parking for the new stadium will be.

Edit: AI says the word on the street is wrong. Looks like residential/ entertainment is the plan. That was supposedly the plan for the old stadium site as well. I don't know if they plan on having parking close to the stadium at all.

Seems a likely site for a baseball stadium if Nashville gets a team, but I’m not sure who will be looking to foot that bill

No one wants to foot it. Atlanta, St. Louis, Cincinnati are the locals favorites and it will take a couple generations to wean them away.

But the legislators that think they can get famous (and rich) for doing it will gladly take our money for it.

It’ll take years to remediate that junk yard site’s toxic soil. May well be a parking lot before residential.

It has been a dumping ground since at least the Civil War. I have no idea what it will take to remediate it but there’s no way I’d ever want residential usage there.
