Fair and accurate assessment of Vrabel. A really good coach with some flaws that appear to be fatal. Maybe he grows out of them by learning from experiences.

Titans extended most of Callahan’s staff in the summer…

I really don't think people are OK with it. The optics are being universally being shit on. I'm the only person I know that has expressed a positive outlook on it. I would love it if AAS got more involved with the game and learned more about it but that's a lot to ask and I don't think she's interested. -

You are just one angry fan aren't you? At least you are an equal opportunity hater. Brinker gets a pass from most here which is crazy. He was heavily involved in shapping the roster with Carthon and Vrabel and obviously was the main decision maker most of last year after Carthon was put in the corner mid season. He clearly is Borgonzi's boss and has influence on personnel and coaching deicsions, which is perfectly fine. We all better up now that he's fully in charge and hired Borgonzi who overhauled the FO, they an rebuild this roster. If he's not up to it, its going to be a long few years. -

The only reason people are okay with this is because the Colts are 7-1.... if they were 1-7 we had mouth breathers complaining about her being on the headset. Same would be true of AAS. -

A lot of jokes have been made about Carlie Irsay but I respect the approach especially if she does this long term. As long as she isn't inserting herself by offering opinions, I bet she's learned a TON about the game that she otherwise wouldn't and while it's not enough right now, in like 5+ years she could have an insight into the game management that will actually help her make better decisions than most owners. A lot of the manly men making fun of her have never worn a headset on the sideline or booth in game and have little idea of what those conversations are like. She will. -

He absolutelty cleaned up some of the in game management stuff as the season went along last year. Now that obviously turned out to be fools gold because we saw how bad he was at it this season. As for growth, thats not my measuring stick, that was Brinker's and he told us after the season everyone needed to be better but that they felt like Callahan deserved to come back based on the factors they considered; roster, QB, injuries, new systems, etc.... You don't like it because you hated the hire but those are the facts. -

Schefter: McCreary to Rams for pick swap

This is really the biggest fuck up of the organization and the recently put together front office thus far. Everything else they did can be explained. I’m sure they thought BC was still supposed to be some qb whisperer and that’s the only reason they decided to keep him on. Once he proved beyond reproach he was in over his head and Ward wasn’t progressing like he should, they made the right call. I’m pretty sure it was Borgonzi that said, “fuck this, he’s gone,” and he may not have been on board with BC from the beginning. It sets Ward back some though and lengthens the rebuild by a year. Ward appears to have a great head on his shoulders, however, and he’ll get on board with the new HC pretty quickly. It looks really bad right now, but these things can turn around very quickly when you have a qb and the right HC. The really positive thing here is that Borgonzi is here for the HC hire. To be sure, Brinker has quite a bit of stink on him for this mess, but he did bring in Borgonzi. To me, ownership is showing she wants to win and will do whatever it takes to get it done, but there have just been some major bad decisions made over the last few years by “the football people.” When you have a sleepy Ran and an in over his head HC over a few years time, this is what you get. After those horrible decisions, the rest of the front office had better be on board with Borgonzi making the football decisions going forward. -

I don't know about putting her on the headset but it might be a competitive advantage if she started watching games from the sideline. The kicker could just look at her and instantly know which way the wind is blowing. -
Someone in the building must hate them lmao

I think it's just twice. Chiefs have the Bills next week. It's a road game on a short week. The coaching staff was gameplanning for the Bills on Sunday and Monday morning. Most of the players wouldn't have been involved in that. Mahomes likely was. Sometimes the Chiefs need to get punched for them to focus up. I also think that Washington was playing for its season and came in fired up.

We all agree on that. This org needs some stability and thats not just on AAS although I'd argue the Jrob, Carthon, Callahan and Vrabel firings were all 100% justified and needed to happen. -

Claiming that singlular decision was an inflection point is insane. I would have been fine had the fired Callahan last year. I was fine with letting him get a 2nd year for the reasons Brinker noted in his post season sitdown with Wyatt. with the benefit of hindsight, Callahan never should have been hired but thats not how the real world works. I'm sure he interviewed great, he was a highyl soft after candidate, He said all the right things after he was hired, etc.... and the team knew they were taking a risk hiring an OC who needed to grow into the HC role a bit. Brinker was very open about that. So they gave him more leeway than they would have other HCs. Again a very common thing to do in business outside of pro sports as well. Callahan was so bad to start the year they had no choice but to fire him only a 3rd of the way through the season. Instead of a applauding the decision you know had to be made, you guys bitch about when AAS made it and why she didn't make it sooner all while screaming about how impatient she is. Its sad look for Titans fans. -
Biggest disappointment for Texas this year isn't Manning - - - it's 100% the OL. I watched every game in recent years, including this one, and they can't run the ball or pass protect this year...at all really. Really, really poor play upfront. Sarkisian's system is heavy on timing, and the OL gives up quick pressure at a massive rate. They look like the Titans.

The exact timing of JRob's firing may have been impulsive. The week or day it happened is of no consequence. It was going to happen soon and certainly needed to happen. Put another way, if AJ doesn't even play that day, JRob still gets fired and in actuality, the sooner the better. -
Nah — I claimed I knew he wasn’t going to be good when he made that decision. That’s just one data point from last year to support my opinion that he wasn’t going to be good. It’s ok to admit the team fucked up by not cleaning house last year. and that’s not even with the benefit of hindsight. You can look solely at last year and say “yeah, they should have cleaned house” without mentioning a single thing that happened since it was announced he would return. also, I don’t think I have ever said AAS was too impatient. If I have, find the post and show it to me. I am very much a “move on when you know it’s not working” kind of guy. Should she have waited til the end of the year to fire Robinson? Maybe. But it was 100% the right call bc the roster was terrible and his drafting was a huge reason why.
