Apparently him going out there in the 4th quarter of a preseason game against practice squad Packers and making some nice throws. Some people are so desperate for a consistent QB on this squad that we will put a 6th round project QB with a history of disciplinary problems and a recent ACL tear on a pedestal after a few series in a preseason game. Mercalius Posted August 10, 2014 Report Share Posted August 10, 2014 In a very limited sample size against sub-par talent (though he did have backups on his side as well) he showed that he certainly has an NFL caliber arm and an ability to navigate inside the pocket with bodies around him. He also made mostly smart throws. However he did also turn the ball over twice, though an extremely wet field and a bounced ball that lies more on Battle than him can certainly be used as reasons to forgive the mistakes. All in all, there was a bit of bad to start but it ended in a pretty impressive manner. I think everyone here is happy with the result given he's a 6th round third stringer at the moment and he flashed upside seldom seen with such players, but we also need to see a lot more, and hopefully not such a shaky start. begooode, gatordude731, TitansGuru, and 1 other 4 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Rogue Posted August 10, 2014 Report Share Posted August 10, 2014 Locker has been a project for three years and I'm not sure I wouldn't just trash that project for the Met one right now.   And where does this BS about Mett being a project come from?  How is he any more of a project than Teddy, Carr, Manziel or any other QB coming out.  He is a pocket passer who played in a pro offense in the toughest conference in the nation and he is a "project"?  BS.  Some people can't deal with the 6th round thing.  It's like a car.  Some people can't fathom having a cheaper car will be the better move, so they mostly take the cab while the Mercedes in the in the shop.  Yeah, the Mercedes flashed some brilliance, but it was right before it was towed back in.  I really don't care one way or the other about the Mercedes, I just want a car to finish 16 games.  Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
