We are much better off than we were with a drunken Robinson high on his own supply after 2019 and that POS Vrabel. These are actually clear waters relatively speaking in terms of where the Titans are relative to what the team has been over the last 25 years.

The key will be Amy not going her father's route and filling in this position with a nepo hire. We almost have it cleaned up. Borgonzi is a legitimate GM with credentials. Saleh is a flawed HC being given another chance who has responded by handing over the offense so he can run the defense. It's the best setup we've had in Nashville in my opinion.

At this rate- there is no reason to believe Borgi or Saleh stays long.

As long as Borgonzi is in charge of the football operations I don't care what they do

There's a lot of people who overhyped past changes to say Amy mishandled every single firing/extension/promotion and now any time a front office/coaching move is made it's completely overblown and pas

What? I wasn't scoring anything.

Explain to me how this is a functional, stable organization.

Since December 2022, the Titans have:

  • Fired GM Jon Robinson mid-season while leading the AFC South at 7-5
  • Hired Ran Carthon (Jan 2023)
  • Fired HC Mike Vrabel two days after the 2023 season —
  • Hired HC Brian Callahan (Jan 2024)
  • Created a brand-new "President of Football Operations" role for Chad Brinker (Jan 2024) (This was two years ago!)
  • Fired Carthon after two seasons (Jan 7, 2025)
  • Hired GM Mike Borgonzi, who reported to Brinker (Jan 2025)
  • Fired Callahan SIX GAMES into his second season after a 1-5 start (Oct 13, 2025)
  • Ran Mike McCoy as interim coach for a 3-14 finish
  • Hired HC Robert Saleh (Jan 20, 2026)
  • Restructured the front office AGAIN — Borgonzi no longer reports to Brinker; both now report to owner Amy Adams Strunk; Borgonzi gets final say on the roster
  • Watched Brinker resign three months later (April 28, 2026)

I did not read any of that because it has zero to do with the statement I made. Which was quite clear. I seem to remember that you are a smart dude so I  am not sure why you are misinterpreting and misrepresenting my very simple statement.

Guys I really dont care about winning an argument here. There's no need to turn my words into something different just to win. Granted I could have been more precise with the temporal words (eased rather than easing) but I thought what I said was pretty clear.

I can't find the original post. I dont remember what I was replying to - tbh.  I am not trying to win anything or "score points"

I simply stated.. this org is dysfunctional. Maybe they'll turn a corner with Borgi but there's no sign of it.   We've had 4 years of constant leadership change and re-org and it looks like they are doing it again.

huh? I know you were gone for a decade but did you follow the team during that span? Carthon was the primary personnel guy while Brinker was here until Carthon got PIP'd and Brinker had to take over. Even when Brinker was promoted to President after Vrabel left, he was only marginally involved in personnel. He had it written into his promotion announcement that he could still some scouting if he wanted to. He only took over full control of the GM duties when Carthon was shelved early on in the 2025 season. Once Borgonzi was hired, he ceded that control to Borgonzi. There really is nothing nefarious here. He simply didn't like his job. You guys are acting like he was moved to the basement and had all his responsibilities moved to others.

I get all that and mostly followed the chaos and managed not to shoot myself. I fully retract the phrase "eased out." I guess I just my only point which was poorly stated is that they hired above him when it comes to what he really was interested in, the personnel side.

Don't put me in the nefarious camp. I totally get it. He was doing the shit part of ops he didn';t like and not doing the fun stuff he did like. So he's leaving to go do the stuff he likes. The only thing we can say is they obviously did not value him in that role or else they would have let him do it.

he wasn't eased out... He took on the President of Football ops role, had to take on Carthon's duty the 2nd half of 2024 and then hired Borgonzi. Once they hired a GM, he still had to run the football team. Seems pretty clear that he knew it wouldn't be a good idea to cross into Borgonzi's domain in his role and decided to leave.

ha ha.  He definitely was eased out.  He was put over Borgonzi then that was removed.

I don't know anymore and it doesn't matter dude. Sorry for getting heated up about something I really don't care about.

The question is: If Brinker was still above Borgonzi, would he have moved on.  I say no...

100%. By all accounts Brinker was instrumental in putting the current structure in place. Hes just moving on. Not sure why you and others have to invent scenarios about it.

I’d say the product quality has been pretty predictable as of late…

A publicly traded company typically deals with products and/or services whose quality is fairly predictable and the expected revenue fairly stable.

The Titans are not a publicly traded company, they don't deal with a product whose quality is predictable, and the revenue (i.e. the on field results) is anything but.

The narratives have been bunk.

The Titans deal in a market which has built in parity and they still come out a much bigger mess organisationally than almost any other team

The governance is poor, this isn’t a narrative it’s an undisputed fact. If you have to restructure every year (based on who in the coaching staff or FO you like at the time), you’re not running your organisation well

I hated Ran and Callahan since the beginning, but I want Borgonzi and Saleh to stick around for awhile.  Considering my track record of predicting coaching results (Callahan, Coen, MacDonald, Johnson, etc), my opinion should be the only one which matters.
