Lantern
if we are thinking Slater at center in 2027, or even if we draft someone, why would we spend 22 million on Linderbaum? McGovern or Karras on a one year deal makes more sense. Edited February 26 by Lantern

They could also re-sign Zeitler for a year and plan on Slater at RG down the road instead of C Lantern, and DCTitan

He just wasn't as good as that contract and couldn't stay healthy. No issues with the team moving on but there is some revisionist history to that signing. It had more to do with the fact that they went out and spent/added pieces and acted like they were a team ready to compete when anyone with 2 eyes knew they’d struggle. It was the whole “competitive rebuild” motto they were putting out that rubbed people the wrong way. that said, the Cush signing was fine. Just didn’t work. TeamRamrod
I dont think they think of Slater as a center anymore.

Meh My issue at the time was the strategy. They focused early in FA on spending big on aging non premium position players and with no actual focus on roster building beyond madden like let’s try stockpile talent OILERMAN

BTiger3733
Linderbaum is an elite run blocker and mediocre pass blocker. He's never been a great pass blocker but Ravens fans speculate that having two atrocious guards next to him last season made his pass blocking regress. BTiger3733
Here are some counter arguments to Liderbaum being weak in pass pro. I haven't watched any film on Linderbaum is pass pro so I have no opinion

Then he went on a victory tour telling the story to different shows lol. OILERMAN

May be why signing one of Connor McGovern (BUF), Cade Mays (CAR), Luke Fortner (NO), or even an aging Ethan Pocic (CLE) might make 1000% more sense given the cost of each of those guys vs. Linderbaum. Personally, I think I prefer McGovern.

titansfan
This is where nerds who only pay attention to graphics (that they dont fully understand btw) annoy me... anyone with eyes and who watches the game knows Linderbaum is an elite center IowaOiler

Slater was drafted by Borgo and Cush wasn't. It is Borgo's stated operational belief. So why are you bitching when he actually does it? Carthon sucked ass but acting like the cushenberry signing was on par with the Ridley signing or the Sneed trade is crazy talk.
