Mike Vrabel: NFL Coach of the Year

I know it's been a tough year for you guys.  I think when the season started a lot of you probably stains your pants getting excited for Mike Meathead Vrabel to fall flat on his face.  Shazam!!  First game lost @home to the shitty Raiders!  LOAO  Told Ya!

 

Pats beat the Dolphins, but hey, hey, how bout then Steelers.  1-2, probably run his ass off before midseason.  The Panthers, who doesn't beat them.  Just wait until they go to Buffalo.  This is some bullshit you yelled!  @Buffalo?  Woah WTF?  Ten games in a row!  TEN GD Games!!  This is some shit.  The seasons over and we haven't even had a good laugh.  On top of that Cam got hurt.

 

3-14. team.  Look at him.  COY.  Playoffs. The MF/n Super Bowl!  This ain't right.

He's not getting bashed just by posters on this board. He's getting trashed nationally because of his mismanagement of the game and terrible game plan. I heard someone say this is like the 4th postseason(elimination Jags game) game he's been severely outcoached and made terrible in game decisions.  

 

Vrabel is condescending and super arrogant, which comes off funny at times. But when you act like that and have no results that act wears thin. 

 

I think that easy schedule and fluky postseason run could be a curse for Vrabel. The Boston media/fans aren't like the chump Nashville media, they'll rip his ass to shreds quickly.

Another example of how ill prepared the Pats were. This reminds me of the Bengal game. Vrabel got lucky the pitchforks were focused on Tannehill's 3 INTs vs how outcoached the Titans were in the Bengals game.

How many times during his tenure, particularly the playoffs, did we see Vrabel get a 10 point lead early and act like we could hold it for 3 quarters? It’s an Achilles heel and Sunday Night validated what the smart posters here have always said, he won’t get out of his own way.

 

Mike MacDonald is the opposite. He’s a defensive coach that lets his OC run the offense and be aggressive. I guarantee you Vrabel neutered McDaniels and probably took over the game plan.

Remember the 2022 season they didn't score more than seven points in the second until their 7th game and the most they scored the entire season in the second half was 13, at Green Bay.  

 

I just took a look and this is actually pretty incredible.  Here's their points output for the second half in that season:

The cracks were definitely starting to show at that point (remember, Henry was still on the roster and Tannehill hadn't quite hit the decline that he hit in 2023 when they were playing him and Levis).  They averaged under six points a game in the second half.  Awful.  And a lot of those games they had big leads and sat on them (week three and four they had big leads and didn't score at all in the second half and almost lost or had the games go to OT).

This is where having such an easy path wasn’t the best thing for him.  If the games were more competitive and the result was in doubt , he might have been forced to get out of the comfort zone.   He just coached the way he usually did in those games .  
 

I mean , they should have destroyed all 3 of those teams, he let all 3 of them hang around until the fourth.

Not sure I agree with that.  I actually think the Chargers and Texans areon par or better than NE and Denver is even too and they didn't have their QB.

I actually disagree.  When it comes to football, Boston fans are about as dumb as you can get. These people only care about football when the team is good. That's why so many of their idiotic fans thought they could be Seattle when everyone else was telling them to look at the fucking schedule.
