Dike becoming a real #2 is a projection, and if he doesn't supplant Ridley then it's rough to go into next year expecting it. I'm higher on Femi than most and think Jermaine Johnson is a real add if he can stay healthy. LT is a gaping hole in my mind. I tend to think that Tate will at least be a pretty good X. And Dike would be more of a #3 in my scenario. This isn’t projecting the Titans WR corps to be a murderers row, just pretty good. That’s not too exciting until you consider how bad our WR groups have generally been for the last 25 years. IsntLifeFunny
Legaltitan
After this season I think we will be fine. Were so used to our picks and free agents being trash the concern is warranted. But this regime has drafted two edges and brought in some FA. Every reason to believe that works out. If Tate is who we think he is, should be looking good going into year two. With dike and others having another year in the system, at worst we may need another serviceable fa after this year. So yeah that leaves ot. Probably will have to draft one high but that can be done. If these guys identify and develop talent like they should we are looking just fine. DCTitan

It's a fair point. Our WR core has been terrible for a long time with a couple years there with AJ and Davis. I stand by my statement that I think they're looking for a truly elite set of offensive weapons. Saleh should be able to produce a top 15 defense every year. Use the premium capital to build around Ward. Callidus

He was also a high 1st round pick....actually, if you click that link, Elic had a better rookie year, was an 4th round pick, and came to a worse team. Had a better success rate, yards per target, way more first downs, and a catch rate difference of like -2.5%.... which works out to 2 less balls on the same targets. I'd rather have two more drops if I got 2 more td's. Boston also fumbled 2 times to Elic's zero. Point being... trashing a 4th round rookie wr is dumb when it usually takes 2-3 years to develop. Do I think he'll be Bostons level eventually, likely not.. but he was better as a rookie in a worse spot. Anyways, the most interesting part they said is that Ward was 8th on accurate throws past 20 yards. Lines up with the tape. Kid is a gun slinger. If he can figure out that 9 route down the sideline the team is in business. Justafan

BTiger3733
15 hours ago, AussieTitanFan08 said: I hear this argument against the Titans offseason and I wish those people would think a little more critically about the reality of the situation from Tennessee's perspective. "The Titans need more talent" --> Titans add Wan'Dale, JFM, Flott, Taylor, Jermaine Johnson, etc. --> "I don't like that the Titans signed those contracts" So what's their suggested alternative? Currently after signing our FA, we have $64M in cap. Should we have added lesser players so that we have $85m in cap space and an even worse roster? It's the same thing with the draft. "The Titans have to help Cam Ward" --> Titans drafts Carnell Tate --> "I don't like that the Titans drafted Carnell Tate" The only legitimate concern with our offseason, which is being underreported, is we have a potential catastrophe at IOL.
