Titans Offseason Discussion Thread

Borgonzi has acquired 18 new players in the first couple of days of FA combine that with the 9 upcoming draft picks and he will have turned over basically half the roster this offseason.

Throw in the bonus cap room thanks to the insurance policies on the Sneed and Ridley contracts and there is scope for further moves over the coming months.

What possible post June 1 moves could they make?

No idea where this nugget fits so thought it might worth starting a thread for all Titans non HC offseason discussion.   This was meant to happen last offseason but Sweat never showed up so

Who will we draft? The answer has been there the whole time.

I wonder if they're holding onto Ridley for now as insurance in case the draft doesn't fall the way they want it to. I'd love for them to draft Tate, but if they have their heart set on Love and are eying Cooper at 35 and he actually makes it there do they draft him and trade/cut Ridley? They kinda play the same spot.

Does that make sense or no?

That's what I was thinking. You keep Ridley and eat that 1mil. Once you get to the draft if you get your guy you trade him if you can. If not you decide to cut him after.

I’m 1000p dialled in, their plan of attack is the Love/Omar stack.

I think offensive playmaker is our #1 need regardless of position

You don't say

One of the media- possibly Blaine B - suggested that Spears be moved/ taught to be a WR, keep Ridley as backup and draft Love.  Interesting thought.

IOL is the critical one right now in no world can Schlottmann and Slater be your opening day starting C and RG.

If OG is the target at 35, there could be an opportunity for a trade down with Pregnon, Dunker, Rutledge and maybe Biscontis all on the board and all rated as 2nd day picks.

I'd stop trying to bandaid the OG spot and wasting cap space and solve it for the next 4 years.

Mentioned this yesterday in the #4 pick thread.

Pick #35 feels a little early for any of these G and the likely scenario is the Titans would have players at other positions much higher ranked when they were on the clock at pick #35.

Personally not a fan of Dunker the other 3 should be much better options.

Borgonzi should be doing both signing a veteran who is in place to start at G whether that be Zeitler or someone else and then he should be drafting the RGOTF.

Ya, 66 feels much more like the spot for a guard.

I suspect they are betting on Slater to win the job and signed Schlottman to be the backstop in case that doesn’t work out.

Then they sign or draft a new starting RG.
