No idea where this nugget fits so thought it might worth starting a thread for all Titans non HC offseason discussion.   This was meant to happen last offseason but Sweat never showed up so

Who will we draft? The answer has been there the whole time.

Do you guys remember when people here thought joe alt was just a "good" tackle prospect?

Was very obviously a generational-adjacent tackle prospect and he wanted to come here too. Set us back a decade missing out on him. Checked every single box.

People brushed him aside because he wasn't as fun to watch on YouTube compilations like "Rome Odunze".

Getting #7 in a draft with 6 bluechip prospects hurt pretty badly but it feels a little bit better looking back at it considering how disappointing Harrison Jr and Odunze turned out. Nabers is phenomenal, but he's also addicted to pills and already potentially has a bum knee.

Stay away from skill positions with premium draft capital.

I'll never forget the disappointment that was on the face of Joe alt's girlfriend when the chargers picked him. No doubt they were set on Nashville.

Alt wasn't even a fun tackle prospect to watch. He was so good it was like watching someone blocking their little brother every play. He hardly looked like he was trying and no1 was going anywhere. Easiest eval I have ever done. But people want to see pancake blocks and knockong people off balance with their punch in pass blocking. He just extends his hands and people stopped.

Vanderbilt has been a major sponsor of the Predators and is pretty entrenched with them. It will be interesting to see if they continue with both and if so how they'll balance out all the sponsorship related facilities and events.

PFF targets Alec Pierce fitting for Daboll and likely priced out for other teams without cap space:

https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-2026-nfl-free-agency-top-landing-spots-wide-receivers

Alec Pierce

Best Landing Spot: Tennessee Titans

PFF Free-Agent Ranking: 10

Pierce, the 10th-ranked free agent on PFF’s board, is projected to command contract offers in the range of $24 million annually. That figure alone could price out numerous teams currently strapped for cash heading into free-agent negotiations.

In my previous evaluation for Pierce’s best landing spot, the New York Giants were the highlighted franchise, given their need for a lethal deep threat to pair with Jaxson Dart. Without ample cap space, the Giants may be unable to field a competitive offer. However, there is a team for which the need and the scheme make sense: the Tennessee Titans.

With Brian Daboll serving as the Titans’ new offensive coordinator, the fit for Pierce is strong. Prior to being relieved of his duties as the Giants' head coach following Week 10, Daboll helped New York lead the NFL in percentage of passes targeted 20-plus yards downfield. Pierce is a threat to take the top off any defense, having tied for the third-most deep receptions (24) over the past two seasons.

Robinson and Jennings won't make free agency either.

The Giants have their starting RT their starting RG and one of their starting CB as pending FA you think they are going to get into a bidding war for Robinson knowing they have those other holes.
