cenj
If we take a RB at #4, even the best RB in a decade, I'm going to be upset. However, I'm sure he's a phenomenal player and will be exciting to watch with Cam Ward. I'll do my best to rationalize it, telling myself that his ability to become the slot WR makes him more important. But if these EDGE guys all dominate and become 10+ sack guys... prometheus, and rns90

I'll give you that on Bailey, but if we fill that need in FA with Oweh, that will not be a need. I'm personally not a huge fan of Tate. You win with top level line play. A top level RB is not essential for team success.
cenj
I can totally buy that Love is #1 on their talent board, but it's hard to believe they'd stick at #4 and go RB. Borgonzi has talked so much about getting more top 100 picks and building the roster. He seems to understand positional value. However, I'll admit that if it's between a truly great RB and another lead-footed/short armed tackle that we plan to change positions, then give me a goddamn RB. rns90, and airmcnair22

Agreed . But those guys are getting paid too especially in FA. Even C. If you’re trying to totally max out a pick that high , outside of trading it, you are not going to take a position like RB/LB/S, and instead focus on the other ones . titansfan
More NFL front offices see Love as an elite RB prospect than I expected... Dont forget what Borgonzi said about generational prospects last year. He believes that you dont pass on generational prospects-- Love may be the closest to that in this draft Omar, airmcnair22, and BeedoeLaw

I think fans may see it differently if you dont call it RB? If a rookie offensive player you selected at #4 gives you 1800 yards from scrimmage and 10 tds, you will take that no question. I think you have to take him at 4 or the chance of getting him greatly diminishes. Which is dumb. I’m sure the Giants love that that’s out there lol and couldn’t possibly have put it out there themselves tgo, and titanskick8851

I feel like in a better draft these guys would be looked at as more mid 1st round players. They're worthy of pick 4 because it's a weak draft. Love looks like one of the true elite talents but yes (gulp) he's a RB. We'll see where Borg stands on that.
