Titans Get The #4 Pick In The Draft

Recommended Posts

Schefter also mentions a couple of front offices around the league believe there could be a wildcard longshot scenario that eventuates where Bailey goes #2 to the Jets, the Cardinals take Love and the Titans take Styles which would mean Reese makes it to pick #5.

Love immediately makes you a more explosive team. He's going to add 10-20 TDs a year through the run and pass game. He's going to upgrade your pass protection. He's going to force teams to account for

The Jaguars gave up what again for Travis Hunter? This notion we should take less capital is kind of mind boggling. If a team wants to move then they need to pay the full price.

Sonny Styles fits in terms of positional value

The league is trending to more cover two/deep zone defenses on run downs.

I believe Sonny Styles fits into that perfectly. He's like a Bobby Wagner type in those sets. The ground he can cover in the middle of the field is an extremely valuable asset. He can also help stop the run with a light box.

I would have to assume they would. Bailey is the perfect wide 9 edge rusher with great measurables.

He's my #1 choice but I have to believe he's either going 2 of to whoever trades up to 3 with Cards

If you are going to have your defensive front 4 play as aggressive as Saleh ideally wants to you better have athletic LB's with sideline to sideline range to be there to clean up when the DL gets gashed while being overly aggressive and not gap sound.

I have no idea whether Styles will be the pick or not but I have been railing against anyone who suggests he isn't at least in the conversation to be the pick at #4.

Oh I think Styles makes perfect sense and prefer him over Love

ESPN's Jordon Reid's 7 round mock draft

4. Tennessee Titans

David Bailey, Edge, Texas Tech

The Titans have to choose between finding explosive playmakers for second-year QB Cam Ward or continuing to revamp their defensive front. We're going with Option B and projecting them to take the best pass rusher in the draft. Bailey's first step is lethal, which helped him to an FBS-high 14.5 sacks and 23 tackles for loss last season. Tennessee already has All-Pro Jeffery Simmons and brought in John Franklin-Myers and Jermaine Johnson II this offseason, so adding Bailey could give the team a ferocious front four.

35. Tennessee Titans

Denzel Boston, WR, Washington

Boston is a big, physical outside receiver who aggressively attacks passes out of the air. He has excellent hand-eye coordination to haul in downfield passes and would give Cam Ward another reliable perimeter target.

66. Tennessee Titans

Caleb Tiernan, OT/G, Northwestern

The Titans got Ward a pass catcher in Round 2; now it's time for some protection. Opinions are mixed on Tiernan's position at the next level, though.

101. Tennessee Titans: Julian Neal, CB, Arkansas

142. Tennessee Titans (from NYJ via BAL): Justin Jefferson, LB, Alabama

144. Tennessee Titans (reacquired from LAR): Febechi Nwaiwu, G, Oklahoma

184. Tennessee Titans: J'Mari Taylor, RB, Virginia

194. Tennessee Titans (from BAL via NYJ): TJ Hall, CB, Iowa

225. Tennessee Titans (from KC via DAL): Matthew Hibner, TE, SMU
