I'll go on record saying I was against trading Simmons. I'm kinda shocked at how universal the sentiment was that Borgonzi dealt him. I get people want draft capital to rebuild, but Simmons is a DPOY

Vrabel is such a little bitch.

I don’t think he’s been too bad. He’s had some really high draft picks but seems like he didn’t over think them. May have hit gold with Jackson Dart (though I think what hes doing is way less impressive than what Cam is doing).

I get people want draft capital to rebuild, but Simmons is a DPOY level guy that can pressure the QB right up the middle. That to me is the most valuable position on defense.

I legitimately don't think that two mid-1st rounders plus that money in free agency would have resulted in a better Titans team overall (not that anyone offered two 1sts). Think about it -- would you take Simmons or the combo of Latham, Skoronski, and Calvin Ridley?

You're not finding another Simmons with those draft picks, and the chance of blowing that draft capital is very real. And that is before you even factor in the other stuff that culture, locker room, etc.

Exactly how many top 10 guys have come in and had best DT in the league potential and not reached that level? Simmons is that guy. You don’t trade him.

What a great week for us. We didn't lose. Everyone else won. We have the first pick, and unless we win, no chance to lose that pick. And umm....I don't see how we can win. But it would be nice to see every team with 2 or 3 wins win another one soon. I want that first pick, and then to trade it for a HAUL.

This is the quickest way to jump start the rebuild. It sucks, but this is our reality…

The pro-trade argument is that he is in his prime now, but will be past his prime by the time they might be ready to contend.

I always felt the idea of coaching job rankings to be overly simplistic because a lot of what factors in we don't see (org/culture fit upon interviews and meetings, compensation negotiations etc), but I wonder how the Giants and Titans HC gigs rank on the surface.

Both have expectations of working with an embedded young QB. Keep in mind that Dart has been evaluated for concussion 4 times already this season and is possibly facing missed time because of the latest one.
