If AAS goes against Borgonzis recommendation for HC and it goes south, I’m sure Borgonzi will take his first chance at exit and AAS reputation will be beyond repair.

 

The league would probably pressure the family to sell or nominate another controller.

Oddsmakers have always had Nagy as the frontrunner, except for that small stint after KC got knocked out of the playoffs, then McCarthy took the lead for a bit.  While Nagy is the most logical from that standpoint, I'm always ready for a shocker hire like Minter!  (doesn't stand a chance in hell!)

These guys are speculating based on the KC connection.  Titans haven't even held interviews, much less told the media anything of consequence.

I was think thinking Webb as OC under McCarthy, whom he would learn under and be the eventual replacement for.

 

But if some of these other HCs don’t plan on calling plays, then I think Webb would be a realistic OC candidate for several candidates.

Most of the time, they'll have enough of a track record to predict how they will do.  I was extremely high on MacDonald and Coen because their track records were so good.  I'm not sure if there's anyone like that this year - Minter looks pretty good, getting impressive play out of some former Titans' rejects and 2 consecutive years of top defenses despite pretty ordinary talent.

There is one scenario where I see AAS being involved in this process and deservedly so: If their guy is an OC who doesn’t call plays, I bet that’s a tough sell to her given Callahan.

If Tomlin or Harbaugh get fired they're instantly getting calls for interviews. No way around it. And we would be lucky to have either.
