  1. 1. Who would you pick to replace him?

    • Jesse Minter, current Chargers DC
    • Joe Brady, current Bills OC
    • Kliff Kingsbury, current Commanders OC
    • Promote Dennard Wilson
    • Some up and coming college coach
    • Other NFL coach

Spags was a disaster in NO with Brees when Payton was suspended.

That year was a clusterfuck for a lot of reasons.  Not the least of which, there were two interim head coaches and neither were Spags.

I would look more at his Rams HC stint.

That said, he is a great DC and I think he has learned a lot and has had a front row seat for Reid taking the Chiefs on a very successful run.

I would have trepidation if I were another organization as well.   I think he is a great DC, and I would worry if the Chiefs lost him.  I also think that teams get stale after a while if there are no coaching changes at the coordinator spots.

Hopefully Callahan turns it around soon and it doesn’t come to that.

We fucked up when we hired Vrabel as HC over Lafleur. Imagine how different things would have been if we didnt make that mistake.

Someone that knows the general rules

Adam Stenavich should probably be mentioned

Love this dude & totally under the radar. I think he’s going to be in the mix for sure with the Brinker connection & how great a job he’s done with the OL & running game. No question GB drafts the OL well but you have to credit him for much of the success, especially the depth they have there. Hank Fraley is another guy…..

Also @titanskick8851Monken is right there at the top of the list for me. Brian Flores is my favorite but Todd is a very close 2nd. Resume wise he’s probably the best candidate. He’s had great offenses at multiple college & pro stops with a variety of QB’s. He’s been great with the Ravens & he ran some Bucs offenses that had insane stretches. He’s loves throwing downfield. He’s also been a college HC. I believe next year would be his age 60 season but that’s a good thing for me. John Harbaugh said he’s an old school, tough HC who embraces the modern things, especially scheme wise. Exactly the type of guy I want & tough to find.

I know it hasn't worked out with an offensive guy so far, but I still want an offensive guy.  If it doens't work with Callahan Monken would be at the top of my list.

I think that the whole offensive vs defensive guy thing might be overrated. The best argument for it was that if your HC is also your defacto OC then you won't lose him to other teams when you have success. Dan Campbell seems to have replaced Ben Johnson with no issues. I say just identify a guy that has a vision and a plan to implement it.

It's more the offensive guy is more likely to be more aggressive and want to throw it more than the defensive guy.

Yeah, I've come around on this. The thinking was having an offensive HC/OC would create stability for a young QB. But if it doesn't work out you're now blowing up the entire coaching staff.

I understand. I'm simply saying this is more of a heuristic than something tangible. I wouldn't want to limit ourselves to exclusively offensive guys.

I know a defensive coach who loves the city of Nashville supposedly, has won a lot of games and would probably love to work with a young QB with upside along with trying to prove doubters wrong and set an all-time record.
