Here's our chance!  No one say anything and maybe he will hibernate through the fall.

;)

I forget you exist every year until you pop up with some dumb shit like this.

Everyone here knows I'm not a Cossel fan but he's spot on here. Fans and media overreact to OTAs and Training camp every year. Wake me up when the games start

Posters over think that everyone else is paying way more attention to them than they actually are.  I do agree, let the season start ASAP.Excited Season 3 GIF by The Simpsons

Jesus.  You are already in bitch form.  I would say, "glad to have you back" but no one would ever say that about you.

wake me up when you contribute something meaningful. You've been deadweight for over a decade now!

I agree with Cosell. It's impossible for fans to have a clear picture because we don't know what the team's goal are in any given practice. But here is another thing that's true; this can be said for any example of a young QB that appears to be struggling in camp regardless of whether it's a coaching thing or not. When Levis was having a tough camp people said similar things and I bet that all around the league fan bases say similar things about their "struggling" young QB/player. The reality is that from the outside both situations look the same and while some certainly shouldn't make more of it than is reasonable, others also shouldn't exclaim that it's completely meaningless. If the point is that no one really knows then no one should really be making any proclamations either way.

I guess they were working on the side armed ricochet pass off one of the d-lines helmet play...probably the receiver that was in the wrong spot....we just don't know!

Excuse me sir but that play works flawlessly, I've seen it.

Damn. He went all in on that one.

This is exactly what I wrote here the other day. Media personalities who should know better are reporting stats from a practice like a game and then trying to assess it like its a game. Practices have NEVER worked that way.  If it were a no restrictions type scrimmage, sure, but practice is where you test and work on very particular aspects. I would be worried if all we heard was he's doing incredibly well bc the next question would be "is he actually getting tested?"

its funny because they are also all saying, "its only practice and we dont know whats going on.. while also screaming doom and gloom"

A lot of specialists in that list must be time for Borgonzi to put together his emergency K/P/LS contact list.

Restrepo would be a good returner for TV. They could go to commercial when he catches it and come back in time to catch the tackle

If Cam is finding him regularly and he's getting open and helping move the chains then yes. You find a way to get him on the field more even if that's Ridley and Van running the complicated stuff and Restrepo just finding the soft spots underneath and taking the 3-4  yard gains as check downs 90% of the time. If you're regularly calling pass plays on first down and he's able to help you get to 2nd and medium on a regular basis then you play him. Look deep. Take what you can get. Get to 2nd and 5 or 6.

I think the hardest part for Restrepo will be getting the opportunity to show that consistency which is why i think practice squad might be the best place for him then he gets a chance sometime mid or late season when some guys get injured... after he's been consistent in practice for weeks and weeks.

Restrepo's biggest positives are: he catches all and he runs after contact. He turns into a RB with the ball in his hands. So he might be good on packages for him as the checkdown, but he's gonna have to chip and add some value otherwise Helm can do any route or package they'd put for him. They ran the same 40 time lol

Also Callahan doesn't like putting players on the field that dictate coverage. If it's pass everytime he's out there that sucks

While he still isnt fast we know helms 40 was actually hampered by an injury. Even if we all agreed they both were hurt, helm would still come out faster.
