I hope the Titans play 17 Sunday noon games

George Carlin was a genius. He's got some great quotes.   "Don't sweat the petty stuff and don't pet the sweaty stuff".   “The reason I talk to myself is because I’m the only one w

Well yeah, if he only plays 8 games.

Even the 5 wins I'm predicting are difficult to visualize. It's not a good roster to begin with, but a couple of injuries here and there, and this team could really stink it up.

If Cam starts and plays all 17 games, I believe we have a strong shot at competing for the AFC South.

Don’t sleep on the Titans defense, especially with a QB who can match points. Call me a homer, but I see some fun times ahead!

Hard to predict W/L at this point but I will say a slow start likely puts some of the vets on the trading block to flip for picks.

I also think looking at W/L for 2025 as opposed to growth from Ward and the younger what is hopeful to be core players as well as from the coaching staff is far more important.  Picking early in the draft next year is far from the worst thing.

I agree.  But this place gets so emotional that too many losses equates to job loss.  My case in point is HC Callahan.  The book is still out on him, but there was quite the vocal crew that wanted him fired after every loss.  This doesn't take into account the QB situation and the OL injuries.

as a general Titans fan, the lack of a single primetime game sucks and I don't buy the NFL's reasoning of teams have to play there way into such games. The Falcons and Dolphins suck and have 5 prime time games each. As an individual, give me 17 games at 1pm or 4pm ET each week.

Obviously that reasoning is nonsense because how do you explain the Bears/Giants/Patriots getting so many Primetime games?  They should just come out and say it's about eyeballs.  Period.

Obviously eyeballs plays a huge part in it.  Probably the most important factor.

But I think there's more to it.  I think it also has to do with the individual power of the individual owners.  Are the Falcons really a team that draws millions of more eyeballs than the Titans or Browns to the point where the revenue amount is significantly affected?  Hard for me to believe that.

However, it's very easy for me to see that the owner of the Falcons is also the co-founder of a huge corporation that is one of the largest NFL sponsors and pumps hundreds of millions into the league's revenues every year.  And also easy to see that Bud Adams and his family have historically been cheap as fuck and don't do jack shit.

And then of course you have Jerry Jones and the Rooney, Mara, and Kraft families.  No way in hell they get less than 3-4 primetime games every season no matter how shitty their teams are.

There is definitely a lot of owner level politics involved.

I'm also curious how these politics seep into elements of the schedule - favorable matchups either side of the bye, hot away games later in the schedule, stuff like that.

Between this and the NBA lottery, I may as well just get the tin foil hat measured up.

Starting to finally come around on the media/league hates us thing?

I think it’s less hate and just more or less ignore since the owner doesn’t have any influence /power and they don’t have any star players at the moment.
