I hope the Titans play 17 Sunday noon games

George Carlin was a genius. He's got some great quotes.   "Don't sweat the petty stuff and don't pet the sweaty stuff".   “The reason I talk to myself is because I’m the only one w

Well yeah, if he only plays 8 games.

Schedule release is always exciting, but overblown. I think it's mostly fun if you live out of state and are going to try to attend a game (Cleveland in December for me, bleh).

At the end of the day, we have to play these teams either home or away. The NFL has so much variation how it ends up shaking out if hard to judge in the off-season.

I also think the chirping about primetime games is kind of silly--yes, it is about market size and ratings---I bet had the Bears not shit the bed last season and looked stronger they might have considered us more strongly, but I for one am glad I don't have to think about watching Titans football on Thursday. Having a prime time game is not an award for existence or something.

In terms of how the season will play out...

In recent years, teams have not really been their best coming out of the post season without as much preseason or prep time.

Broncos and Rams would always be tough defensively--we might catch them when the offense is not fully clicking and when teams are playing sloppy and less in their groove. That is a kind of equalizing factor.

We then get Indy at home early, which is a winnable game. A three game road stretch is rough but at least we get it out of the way. A lot of pressure comes off Cam to deliver in front of the home crowds. He gets time to click and develop. The Vrabel match up is big and Chargers are always tough.

Coming out of the bye though we catch our most important game of the season at home and then go into a stretch of very winnable games. Travis Hunter will probably be injured by the time we face the Jags given how much football they are going to play him. Who knows what will be going on with Cleveland or New Orleans.

Either way, no matter how I rearrange the schedule, it's hard to see a path to 10 wins and if we are going to do anything this year it is because we beat up on our division.

I like that the road trip to Houston is earlier rather than later and I like that we catch the Jags in the second half when they've had time to fall apart. The home game against Houston gives us our best chance to beat them.

The schedule release is always overrated

Who knew last year when the Titans schedule was released the Titans would face a totally inept Caleb Williams week 1, Malik Willis starting for GB and a guy pulled off the street to start at QB for the Fins. Then they beat the Texans on the road when everyone picked them for the SB.

The NFL media is just desperate for content as the dead part of the offseason kicks in.

I never give a damn about the schedule release hype. Just tell me the schedule. Until then I don’t care.

Heck I don't even care now when it actually gets released.  Wake me up at kickoff for week 1.

I liked it better when it would randomly be released on some weekday in the middle of the day in April.  Rather than listen to the talking heads analyze all 272 games, or at least every game that the Cowboys and Chiefs are playing.  It gets annoying and old.

8-9

Look about right for the more optimistic? I figure the 2nd Houston game might also be a loss but I can't stomach giving them 2 wins in a season, especially considering we actually beat them last year, as shitty as we were.

Even the 5 wins I'm predicting are difficult to visualize. It's not a good roster to begin with, but a couple of injuries here and there, and this team could really stink it up.

Every year teams we think are going to be good turn out to be bad and vice versa. The NFL is largely unpredictable outside of the top 4 or 5 teams from year to year.

Hard to predict W/L at this point but I will say a slow start likely puts some of the vets on the trading block to flip for picks.

I also think looking at W/L for 2025 as opposed to growth from Ward and the younger what is hopeful to be core players as well as from the coaching staff is far more important.  Picking early in the draft next year is far from the worst thing.

No primetime games and only 1 divisional game in the last 5 weeks.

4 of the first 6 on the road.

I kind of love the no primetime games.  Let Ward learn out of the spotlight.
