And who knows? Maybe Bill C. can help him turn the page and elevate his career. He's only 26.

Haven't you heard? Billy C is a fraud is what titans fans have discovered. His whole career was proven to be a fluke because JC Latham wasnt an all pro as a rookie and he didnt turn water into wine with NPF. Also he cant do anything without someone who isnt a first round pick! (that one is my favorite)

If the Titans have functional pass blocking OTs in known passing situations then this all works out. The Titans have not been able to drop back in a passing set and give their QB adequate pass blockin

It’s a front loaded deal which is always the best way to structure a big deal

Now Titans have the luxury of having Latham sit and learn behind NPF

Callahan is just a guy.  He's no better than the Colgate coach that Vrabel employed, and his son is no better than Todd Downing and those other clowns.

As per usual the truth lies somewhere about here.

I'm not sure if you keep up with current events, but the team lost 14 games and was the worst in the league.  It's pretty easy to come to correct conclusion about the coaching staff.

So by your definition, every teacher you ever had should be fired? Makes some sense I guess.

Eh. My opinions on the impact of coaching are pretty well documented. I think coordinating the overall OL really well will help this guy more than any kind of individual talent development. Most players have peaked ability-wise by 26.

Ironically many of the people who now believe this got there by being disappointed by the fact that they expected Bill C to turn an OL with little talent in it into a top 5 unit virtually overnight and he obviously fell short of that. Bill C seems to really know his shit and we're lucky to have him but that's the danger of having unreasonable expectations; you set yourself up for unreasonable disappointment.

People vastly over-estimated his ability to turn mediocre/bad players into pro bowlers overnight. The collection of OL talent was easily bottom 10 across the league. Neither of these things are Bill C's fault. It's not his problem that fans are dumb and routinely buy into magical thinking.

The OL aside from RT actually played decent considering they had 3 new starters. Once Cushenberry went out and Latham hit the rookie the wall, the play regressed but this idea the OL sucked ass all year is false. Levis pocket awareness and RT killed them.

What’s the expectations on Cushenberry’s recovery timeline?

He said he was gonna be ready for camp but I’m pretty nervous about how it’ll affect his play early in the season. They definitely need to add a decent back up option there.

I didn't say the OL sucked ass all year. I said that the collection of talent ranged from mediocre to bad on the balance. Maybe one could argue they were a bit better than that. The point is that it fell short of the ridiculous expectations that people had resulting in them downgrading Bill C in their minds.
