Who's getting fired

One point I have to make on Carthon:

Yes, he can sign players by bidding the most. But a roster full of highly paid players is just that. Chemistry matters and so does leadership when you make these moves.

Cushenberry and Pollard are good signing and fit that. They are team first guys.

This situation with Sneed is weird. He’s the guy that got paid and immediately played terribly AND missed basically the entire season.

One thing I like that Brinker has mentioned is building a model like Green Bay. You can’t do it initially because you have to get the roster to league average, but build through the Draft. Draft, develop, and extend your own players like the Packers and Steelers do.

This upcoming offseason needs to be the last that we spend big in the early free agency wave unless there is a player there that you just have to have.

Anyone care to explain why Brinker is so magical and none of this bullshit is put on him?

Context is needed.  Going into the season, the fair/reasonable expectation was a record similar to last year but with growth/improvement shown on offense, defense, and ST to where one could expect a p

I'd be surprised if they sold her the compete while rebuilding concept that was marketed externally. Would be pretty dumb considering the state of the team.

I would hope not. But like I said, if you explain your vision to the majority of the fanbase honestly (which they didn’t), you build goodwill and patience to execute your vision. That is where they made a mistake. I’d say 70% of the fanbase would have shown patience to build a contender if they had said that’s what they were working toward versus now 70% of the fanbase is calling for heads.

I guess.

Rudolph’s offense scored 10, 14, and 20 points before yesterday. We scored 7 in the first 42 minutes of football and then a lot of garbage points after being down 31.

Rudolph is not a good backup QB. If he was, he wouldn’t be one of the cheapest in the league. No way should he be on this roster next year in any capacity.

They also scored 29 when he came in for Levis vs Miami and the other thing is Levis leads the league in pick six's so Net Offensive Points is a real thing.  The season high for Levis is 23 offensive points.

Points/Drive is 1.81 for Rudolph and 1.27 for Levis.

As for a backup, Rudolph is perfectly fine.  LOL

I said a couple weeks back, the Titans should have taken the Braves approach from 2016. “Hey, it’s about to suck for a while, but this is what we are doing to rebuild and our vision for the future.” 2 years later they made the playoffs and won a World Series within 5 years and are perennial contenders.

I can easily accept a rebuild as a fan that wants the team to win. But this team talked publicly like they were going to be competitive and they are not.

Did they promise the same to Amy? If so, they are going to be fired.

Did they act like this was a team that could sneak into the playoffs? Then they will be fired.

If they were honest on their plans, Amy should give until end of 2025 and then make a decision.

You can train a fanbase and get them behind a rebuild if you market it correctly. But you have to be all in and not send mixed messages. And you must fulfill the obligation to entertain

Rudolph threw for 85 yards against the dolphins. You contributed to that game as much as he did.

Callahan finally got out of his own way and realized the PS QB Miami had starting wasn’t going to win the game if the Titans didn’t give it them. Props to him on that. Probably his best coaching job of the season.

Id give them a A- or B+ on signing Cush, Pollard, and Diggs; a B+ or B on signing Ridley; a D on signing Awuzie and Murray; and a F on trading for and signing Sneed. Gave up a 3d, signing to a huge deal, and the guy plays in just 5 game while failing to register a single stat aside from tackles (23 btw).

That's an "OK" FA class but it doesnt scream confidence that you can build a roster.

Also a braves fan here and the vision that ATL had could easily be seen. Yeah, there were some lean years. No doubt about that. But we took our lumps and were rewarded with a world series title.

The titans preaching their whole competitive rebuild nonsense was just that: nonsense. Be honest about what you are. This should have been torn down to the studs and built back up after the 2022 season.

They also had short fields on a bunch of scoring drives.  Bottom line is that the offense put up 29 points and he managed that game/situation just fine.  No way they'd have come close to that with Levis.

Why? We put up 32 and beat the Texans with Levis.

It's called basic math.  If I score 30 but give up 7, it's 23.....Plus the D got the Safety at the end.

Levis would have found a way to blow the Miami game given how awful he was playing at the time.

Carthon has 0 reason to be fired. What money did he waste? Who did he sign that was a bust like the previous regime? Maybe sneed, but he got hurt and they probably held him out longer because they knew they weren’t doing anything this year.  When you have a shit QB the entire team looks shit.

Agreed. Maybe Carthon can pawn off this offseason to Vrabel like he did the last one…
