What do you do now? It's not even Halloween and we are cooked. Outline a path to hope.

Good points that Callahan/Carthon will either need to hit on a rookie or get a good bridge QB to save their own skins from a W/L perspective.

I have the feeling AAS is not going to be a fan of going with a Stafford/Carr/bridge QB next year without securing an "exciting young QB" of the future.

I feel like that sandboxes them into taking a QB unless they can convince her that the rookies are not worth investing in. Apparently they didn't try or failed in doing so with Levis (or Carthon actually thought he was worth it).

Eh since we are discussing hypotheticals, what would stop them from dropping to 12-13 and taking a QB they like? Stafford surely doesn't preclude you from taking a QB.

He doesn’t but if you’re in the win now scenario you’d want to take an immediate player (Edge /Rt/WR) that will help you win games in 2025.  I guess the entire point of the bridge is that you’re not forced or obligated to spend high currency on a qb and can build the rest of the team.

I guess you could go the ATL route with Cousins and Penix but that’s not very common.

I agree, but that doesn't mean it stops you from taking a guy you view as the future. Stafford already has his contract so it isn't a Cousins type situation.

Agreed I’m just not a big fan of any of these qbs past the first two , maybe Nussmier.  The Rams I would think would end up wirh pick 9-16 and it’s probably better value going with another position for various reasons.

I can appreciate that, and it isn't optimal, but this year is a wash. They won't get another chance. That's why it would make some sense.

Honestly think there is a good chance Derek Carr ends up released due to Saints salary cap hell and he has strong ties to Callahan and Holz.

Additionally, could see LAR moving on from Stafford if they can get one of the top QBs. Again, Stafford also has Callahan ties.

Stafford is a way better QB and may be available. LA is up against their salary cap.  A big NO on Carr.  The QB choices are not good looking at that list. I'd keep Rudolph and Levis and build the rest of the team until a better option opens up. Levis should sit the rest of the year and open up competition next year. He wasn't ready to start this year. He needs to mellow and get his head outta his butt. Even then the game may be too fast for him next year. There's no quick fix to this dilemma.

I just push a button to start mine. The future is now, old man

Paying the kid next door to start and run the mower is even better. I used to enjoy cutting grass but have found that I enjoy watchng someone cut my grass even more. It's going to be hilarious watching all the pissing and moaning around here if the Titans have the audacity to win some games they're not supposed to.
