The Fake News craze has gone so far that reporting actual news is framed as left wing bias. This is the case in Europe too

It's impossible not to question the morality of people who choose to support politicians who spread vile and dangerous rhetoric like that.   If you're willing do that, what else are you will

Not sure the best thread for it but ...

Completely anecdotal but a fewer coworkers from China are renewing visas by traveling to Canada. They've indicated it was the most involved & most questions ever asked & there was no initial yes/no. They even asked about old undergrad transcripts and requested copies. Indicated it may be weeks.

They expressed fears it's already ramping up in advance of Trump. That may or may not reasonable (my gut says it's not) but it's an interesting window into life uncertainty that thoughtful, hard-working people who are also immigrants have to deal with.

They're now working remote from an AirBNB in Canada until it's resolved ... but they indicated this was quick/easy in the past. A bit of an ominous feel in the room as the others in a similar situation (but not currently renewing) digested it all.

Dems have always denied election results. Gore, Stacey Abrams, Hillary Clinton, etc..  but they are now the party of less transparency and election security.

There are no reasons for this except to cheat.

This one was beyond stupid.  Judging by the reaction it would be a hard sell.  Even a Republican controlled Senate has to draw the line somewhere.

It’s probably a move where he installs the next on the list odious candidate , just someone nowhere near as bad as Gaetz and won’t bring that big of an uproar.

He doesn’t have much experience in law, which makes me question it.   But if you go back in time, JFK exercised nepotism and put his 35 year old bother with no experience in as AD.

Let's be reminded that you COULD become a Justice on the US Supreme Court without a degree or experience in the law. There's not even a birthright requirement.

Hey, let's take a story about changing how the govt is run, mischaracterize it, amplify it 1000 times and fear monger on something that has no concrete evidence to any of the fear mongering.  Seems like good solid  liberal journalism.

RFK is an idiot who thinks wifi disrupts the blood brain barrier and that no vaccines are safe and effective.

I guess you’re referring to this?

Kennedy: I think some of the live virus vaccines are probably averting more problems than they’re causing. There’s no vaccine that is, you know, safe and effective.

id need to listen to the podcast to understand the context. He seems to suggest some vaccines  are worth the risk.

RFK actually worked for the Justice Department for a couple of years as a lawyer and also worked as asssistant  counsel and then senior counsel for various senate committees throughout the 1950s. He was very familiar with how federal law enforcement worked and how cases were prosecuted.
