Well, it kinda sucks throwing to NWI, a guy who couldn't separate oil and water, then throwing to a speedster deep. I'm ready for NWI/Kinsey/Burks and the rest of these JRob losers to disappear.

To be fair, cramps can be incredibly painful for a short period of time. Sounds like he dominated on the field today which is pleasant news.

That’s going to be a problem if Levis can’t hit those in the regular season.

Im starting to wonder a bit if the timing aspect of the offense affects his deep passes. 
 

His JR year at UK he was bad at deep shots and this was a similar offense. 
 

His SR year and last season there was a lot more PA / long developing deep shots that he seemed to be pretty successful with. 
 

Could just be that Ridley's speed has been a problem to figure out as I think we've seen a few connections with Burks on deep shots. I think he will figure it out.

Burkes was playing well and talking a lot of shit. Probably just pissed he didn't get to finish practice.

 

Smart of this staff to take extra precautions with him based on history.

Provided Burks didn't get inured where he'll miss significant time, this should be considered a big succeess. Good work against guys not wearing the same jerseys that you're able to evaluate guys off of and no major injuries, that's really what the hope  is for these.

He hits everyone else. Hit Burks deep today. He's just having issues getting the timing down for Ridley. I'm going to say it's more likely on Ridley not getting to where Levis thinks he should be. Is he powering it down and accelerating as some route running nuance that no one else does and Levis is having trouble predicting? No clue but he hits everyone else. They'll figure it out.

I'm starting to think that Jaquan Jackson, who looks really fast,  can be the backup to Ridley.  Now if he shows something in this weekend's game, I'd prefer his upside to NWI, so I'm leaning toward REO's argument to release NWI, if it's a receiver worth developing..

Yes. But no gameplan is going to catch a ball for you or help you find/play the ball in the air. There are discreet football skills that can be observed even in the preseason. To pretend otherwise is completely absurd and honestly not an opinion that can be taken seriously. We knew Willis was a bad QB that was nowhere close to starting long before we saw him take a regular season snap. No one was saying "it's just the preseason" when it was Willis and they were correct not to. Nothing has changed. People can be annoyed but I'm consistent on this.

There are legitimate concerns about Levis, but his ability to complete deep balls is not one of them.

I saw some clips out there of Burks cooking CBs, and came in here to bask in the glory only to find out that he got fucking HURT again.  Thanks for the great news!
