Number9
We just didn't have the talent last year to be good anywhere on offense. The PA and the Run work together. This is just examining the body like the coroner looking for clues to the death. We spent ourselves to death. We signed the big two, Tannehill and Henry. We made big splash plays that were all almost no good. Clowney. The Preacher. Julio. We over-drafted players then didn't develop the over-drafted players. That's probably the worse part of it. You take a CB round one, he should develop into a top 2nd round talent. We draft an UDFA in the first round. Give him 8M and then we can't gets $800,000 worth of play from him. Mistakes. croatian22

Bongo59
Vrabel got screwed by JRob. I still think AAS made a mistake but I see the redirect now and honestly I think Levis has a chance to be a lot better than I thought initially. Cally squared really is the right choice for him. But Vrabel picked the right QB in my view. I think Levis is going to be better than Stroud. Big statement but I have a feeling this kid is gonna be special. His work ethic and passion is amazing. prometheus

The GM isn't responsible for developing players. He fucked us by drafting poorly his last few years, but even those shitbags could have likely been developed to at least replacement level with an adequate coaching staff. Unless you're indicating the Robinson should have stepped in and forced meathead to hire competent coaches....in which case, I agree. 1 hour ago, Bongo59 said: Vrabel got screwed by JRob. Meathead wasn't screwed by anyone other than himself. He brought on a coaching staff of good-ole-boys that were generally inept and under qualified for their positions. Meathead also picked Willis, not Levis. You're retroactively trying to go back and claim something for meathead that was obviously RC. And for the love of god, stop saying Levis is going to be good. Say he's going to suck and be out of the league in a few years....because you are literally never...ever....correct. Mythos27
Not a popular take but IMO player development is now squarely on the how much work the individual players do outside of the team facility. These days, NFL team simply don't have the practice time to work on players skills enough to considerably improve functional skills. The little individual periods during practice IMO just aren't enough. That's why it's good to see guys like Levis putting in so much work on his own. It's tough to either give or with-hold credit regarding coaches developing players. A player developing under a certain coach is not the same as that coach developing that player. Popular Post titanruss
Here's a weird/funny local sports note I hadn't seen mentioned here that's kinda Titans related. Titans, based in Nashville, are a traditionally conservative/ defensive styled team that would win by grit but have recently gone through a down period and a long-time coach firing. Transitioning to a new modern offense that fans have asked for for years, they bring in a young first-time head coach named... Brian Callahan.
