Turns out it's easier to hire quality assistants if you're not a control freak dickhead.

Callahan just said Wilson will have complete control and autonomy over the defense.

I would have asked BC when he was going to get off his ass and hire coordinators and a OL coach.

I personally think several of the coaches are already hired and just not yet announced.

That has happened at times from Munchak through Vrabel with Vin Marino at the contracts helm, so it wouldn't surprise me (esp if the coach is say, currently an unemployed HoF Oilers guard who is media-averse)

If so then he and Ran need to get their asses to Mobile and find out non T-Rex Dancing Bears to keep the so called franchise from getting injured.

Oh you mean how they went ultra conservative in 2019 with pees and ran the ball 15 times and 14 times in the first two playoff wins

which artificially kept the scoring low

Uh, they ran 40 and 37 times in those two games. They passed 15 and 14 times in those two games, and yes, it kept scoring down.

I read the exact wording of the Munchak rumor it sort of stated that he'd be open to returning based on head coaches and geography.  Denver is a no go and PIT one of the beat writers said that the Steelers are fine with their current OL coach.  So that leaves us, if we are interested in hiring him again.

They actually just extended Meyer the OL coach in Pittsburgh too.

I think it’s very likely Munchak will be returning as OL Coach.

This would be a good offensive staff lineup:

OC: Nick Holz

OL: Mike Munchak

QBs: Bo Hardegree or Alex Van Pelt

WRs: Tyke Tolbert or Sanjay Lal

RBs: Stump Mitchell

TEs: Justin Outten

I know Bowen and Pees were close, so if they keep Bowen - it wouldn’t hurt to bring Pees in as a senior defensive assistant.

I remember we used to tell ourselves that when we’d go nearly a month hearing not a single word on Vrabel’s hunt to make ourselves feel warm & safe……..and then the Friday 5pm Downing/Bowen announcement would hit.

All kidding aside Mike Vrabel was easily the least fun offseason coach ever. Obviously it doesn’t matter at all but let’s be honest, it’s kindve fun when your team is looking for a new OC and/or DC. Vrabes took a blowtorch, check that, a thermonuclear missle, to even the slightest bit of fan enjoyment.
