GLinks
Look folks, Henry is on pace 1000 yards and 10 TDs, which is nothing to piss at. Last year he ran for more TDs than Mariota threw and accounted for about half the offensive production. Heās still easily in range to do be as productive as he was last season. Ā Henry is top 10 last year and this year so far and the offense already has more passing TDsĀ than last year. If theyāre going to add Drake to the mix, itās because you hope he can add to the overall scoring production, run and pass, not diminish or replace Henryās, but be a complimentary piece.Ā tgo, and Ricky

I mean, it'sĀ pretty obvious what's happening.Ā I'm surprised he's doing this well tbh. TNTitans, and IsntLifeFunny 1

cenj
It's not just his running yards, it's Henry's effect on the entire offense. When he's in the game, the offense becomes more predictable and it effects others on offense. What are his receiving yards? How often were we in 2nd or 3rd and long? That stuff affects the offense more than just his rushing stats. Ā Henry definitely has value, but he's not a RB that you can keep in the game and change up what you do. The spread offense doesn't work with him. Now we do have two big WRs and an uber-athletic TE, so theoretically we have a great personnel matchĀ for Henry --Ā a well blocked play up front could lead to long TDs with WRs blocking on the edge. Walker and Smith in two-TE sets is a pretty nice base, and you can certainly swing either wide as aĀ dedicated receiver. Tannehill is mobile with a strong arm, and he's shown theĀ ability to hit tight windows.Ā Ā But on games like this where we need to spread the defense out and attack through the air, Henry is subpar. The question is, what is a back like that worth?Ā Edited October 28, 2019 by cenj oldschool, and OILERMAN

GLinks
A lot of people are focused on getting RBs who can help in the passing game. Getting a Marshall Faulk type, LT, Kamara, McCaffrey,Ā etc., is great, but still a minority. Ā Fundamentally, running backs should be able and paid to run the ball. Drake seems like a good fit for spelling Henry while adding to the passing game but heās like a hybrid and not the guy who can be the full-time starter, but the āpartā he can play can vary fairly widely, depending.Ā Forty to 60 yards per game is about what you can expect, but his situational versatility could provide us the extra element weāve been missing. Ā I still think Henry should be fairly and reasonably extended. The best part about Drake is he mightĀ cure the Titans of both Lewis and Fluellen.Ā
AussieTitanFan08
This on the likely Kenyan Drake trade from Peter King's FMIA Column today. Ā "Miami RBĀ Kenyan DrakeĀ goes (for peanuts; he is worth more)" Ā King certainly hinting that the Dolphins aren't going to get much in the way of trade compensation for Drake. nine
I think Drake could be a tremendous asset for the offense....but as a receiver,Ā Ā he'll be just as ineffective as Lewis if he's only targeted on screen passes over and over and over. Ā Screen passes make sense for a big-bodied RB like Henry whose skillset doesn't lend itself to WR-type routes.Ā Ā Guys like Lewis and Drake have more of a crossover skillset....they're capable of doingĀ more than just "run over there and turn around".Ā Ā But for whatever reason,Ā Ā that's all Lewis is asked to doĀ as a receiver....and if they were to bring in Drake, I suspect it would just be more of the same.
