Popular Post OILERMAN
I do not believe this for a minute. Gruden is making 6.5 mill a year to do one game a week with no pressure. He'd be a fool imo to do it. TK43, TitanJoe, Opus74, and 8 others
TitanLegend
Brad Wells isn't a guy that just throws shit at a wall until it sticks. He's not a reporter or anything but he's a pretty knowledgeable guy, so this probably does have some merit. That being said I don't consider Gruden to be a very good head coach, so I don't think it matters. He's known as being some QB guru, but his only credible QB development came with Rich Gannon. Kinda reminds me of Ken Whisenhunt supposedly being some QB guru and not having a single QB that you can accredit their success to him. Peyton Manning being team president would be interesting just based on the fact that he'd be an unknown at that spot.

And ESPN is probably going to lose(let go of) the MNF contract because it's numbers are terrible, and whoever picks up MNF wouldn't obviously be guaranteed to keep Gruden, and ESPN isn't going to pay a guy 6.5mil just to be a studio analyst, I wouldn't think. Guys like Gruden, Jimmy Johnson and Bill Cowher make big bucks and get mentioned from time to time and rarely get close to an interview. I'll admit Luck could change that to a degree and Gruden and Manning are really close
TitanDuckFan
All ESPN needs to do to revive MNF is include ABC. It made money there for decades, until they decided ESPN would sell better sole rights to it. Cajuntitan, and MikeTn
Popular Post TitanLegend
Just now, OILERMAN said: Guys like Gruden, Jimmy Johnson and Bill Cowher make big bucks and get mentioned from time to time and rarely get close to an interview. I'll admit Luck could change that to a degree and Gruden and Manning are really close Well in the case of Johnson and Cowher, they both retired(after being forced out of Dallas, Johnson was an analyst for a couple years, then went back to Miami only to retire after a few seasons). Gruden was fired, and was fired at a very young age too(he's still only 53, was early 40s when he was fired). To me it's amazing a guy like Gruden gets the interest that he does. After winning the superbowl he went 45-51, only two playoff appearances over 6 seasons and lost both of them. Only really had 1 above average season in that 6 season stretch, as the 2nd playoff appearance came off of a 9-7 season. Face
Sorry but this just sounds too much like the LaCanfora "BonJovi/Manning/Polian/whoeverelse shit". Irsay already announced HC/GM will be back.

He's not the only guy talking about it it seems - http://foxsports975.iheart.com/onair/query-schultz-44132/report-irsay-and-gruden-met-15461687/ Bob Kravitz's take on it - Kravitz also noted in a different tweet that he thinks Irsay is looking for a new coach, but has no concrete information on it. ManningEnvy
I wouldn't worry too much about a potential new coach for the Colts if I were you. The Titans couldn't beat the last one, or the one before him, or the one before him and he was a Portuguese with freckles. abenjami, woolfolksunclesuncle, OILERMAN, and 1 other
