Because the coaches are trying to win the next game, including this Sunday, and want to play the better players, not the bottom of the depth chart like XR. This isn't that complicated and has been posted multiple times. Coaches get paid to win games and hopefully prolong careers and not experiment with the last guy in the rotation.

He definitely lacks the experience to make me think he's ready to be an NFL head coach. But I actually agree he has a lot of the qualities that could make him successful. For what it's worth...he does have an MBA from Northwestern University. I don't think the management part is going to be a big hurdle.

As has been mentioned...they're not promoting these guys to play receiver. They're promoting them to play special teams. Kinsey is not going to see many, if any snaps at receiver.

He was absolutely the leader, even after he struggled to gain more than 3 yards/carry. He's a smart guy, and very likable. I don't know that we'd roll the dice on him yet, but for those wanting to establish a culture and bring in a 'leader of men' coach, he fits the bill. He'd have to bring in some serious suggestions for his staff...and I'd have to say, Munch would probably be on there for OL, which I want more than any specific HC.

As long as Morris is included in the package at QB coach (OC probably too ambitious yet) and we get some top coordinators, there could be worse hires. I'd be worried that he'd only be hired for nostalgia reasons to sell tickets. EG doesn't exactly have a towering resumé so far. But a HC's job isn't so much about having your hands in the minutia of the Xs and Os. It's about managing people and situations. And it's about being a strong motivator and leader. Eddie was always the leader in the huddle, getting everyone gassed up. I think he'd be a strong leader. Just needs to have strength in management.
