  1. Past hour
  2. I don't know about putting her on the headset but it might be a competitive advantage if she started watching games from the sideline. The kicker could just look at her and instantly know which way the wind is blowing.
  3. So we should applaud her making a decision that was so obvious a monkey could’ve made it? Callahan might go down as the worst HC in modern NFL history. again, show me a post where I’ve said AAS is too impatient?
  4. I don't see how you came to that conclusion. They ended the season on a 6 game losing streak, getting blown out by decent to good teams and giving Jacksonville half of their wins on the year (with a backup QB). There was absolutely no meaningful growth.
  5. I think it's just twice. Chiefs have the Bills next week. It's a road game on a short week. The coaching staff was gameplanning for the Bills on Sunday and Monday morning. Most of the players wouldn't have been involved in that. Mahomes likely was. Sometimes the Chiefs need to get punched for them to focus up. I also think that Washington was playing for its season and came in fired up.
  6. We all agree on that. This org needs some stability and thats not just on AAS although I'd argue the Jrob, Carthon, Callahan and Vrabel firings were all 100% justified and needed to happen.
  7. Claiming that singlular decision was an inflection point is insane. I would have been fine had the fired Callahan last year. I was fine with letting him get a 2nd year for the reasons Brinker noted in his post season sitdown with Wyatt. with the benefit of hindsight, Callahan never should have been hired but thats not how the real world works. I'm sure he interviewed great, he was a highyl soft after candidate, He said all the right things after he was hired, etc.... and the team knew they were taking a risk hiring an OC who needed to grow into the HC role a bit. Brinker was very open about that. So they gave him more leeway than they would have other HCs. Again a very common thing to do in business outside of pro sports as well. Callahan was so bad to start the year they had no choice but to fire him only a 3rd of the way through the season. Instead of a applauding the decision you know had to be made, you guys bitch about when AAS made it and why she didn't make it sooner all while screaming about how impatient she is. Its sad look for Titans fans.
  8. Biggest disappointment for Texas this year isn't Manning - - - it's 100% the OL. I watched every game in recent years, including this one, and they can't run the ball or pass protect this year...at all really. Really, really poor play upfront. Sarkisian's system is heavy on timing, and the OL gives up quick pressure at a massive rate. They look like the Titans.
  9. I’m actually happy with the current set up but the path to get here is embarrassing
  10. The exact timing of JRob's firing may have been impulsive. The week or day it happened is of no consequence. It was going to happen soon and certainly needed to happen. Put another way, if AJ doesn't even play that day, JRob still gets fired and in actuality, the sooner the better.
  11. Nah — I claimed I knew he wasn’t going to be good when he made that decision. That’s just one data point from last year to support my opinion that he wasn’t going to be good. It’s ok to admit the team fucked up by not cleaning house last year. and that’s not even with the benefit of hindsight. You can look solely at last year and say “yeah, they should have cleaned house” without mentioning a single thing that happened since it was announced he would return. also, I don’t think I have ever said AAS was too impatient. If I have, find the post and show it to me. I am very much a “move on when you know it’s not working” kind of guy. Should she have waited til the end of the year to fire Robinson? Maybe. But it was 100% the right call bc the roster was terrible and his drafting was a huge reason why.
  12. At least the team is focused on the important things ...
  13. Buck and Stillman reporting the Titans signed McReary to a long term contract right before trading him!
  14. Oh damn, she's like the Cathy Wood of owners! Dissecting and diagnosing like a pro! I fear now that AAS will soon go down that Irsay coke road very quickly and suddenly!
  15. Guys, there is really no point in arguing at this point. Amy will continue to do Amy things to the point that even those who disagree will have to change their opinion. Just let time prove you right.
  16. You claimed Callahan was done when he made that bonehead decision early on in the season last year. I simply said that was silly. Callahan ended up a bad hire, its hilarious many of you wanted him gone after 1 year while also screaming about AAS being impatient. Then you used the fact she fired him after 6 weeks this year with the team spiraling out of control against her. She can't win with fans like you. I'll say it again, She has made some questionable hires for sure; Carthon being the big one. She didn't select Callahan, Carthon and Brinker did. She needs to hire better people, hopefully she has by putting Brinker in Charge of the entire football side of the business and letting him hire Borgonzi. You know the very thing you guys clamored for for years.
  17. Agreed. I think these dummies haven’t realized that teams are stingier with draft picks now. A few years ago you probably get a 4th for McCreary even on an expiring deal. Shit JRob gave up a 5th for that one slot guy who played 10 games. But that’s not the current nfl and McCreary is a decent player but nothing to freak out about.
  18. Yeah. I think he’s only worth getting rid of for a second or maybe third round pick. And no one will offer that.
  19. I've explained this over and over again.. Can't explain Jrob, that was dumb but Carthon got a big fat promotion as a result of the shakeup with Vrabel. Its natural for guys to get extensions in that case.
  20. Right, and remember that The Athletic reported that they considered firing Vrabel at that time too but ultimately decided to keep him and hire a GM (Carthon). One trend I dislike is the tendency to force these shotgun weddings which lasted like a year each. We should finally be on the same page with Brinker, Borgo, and new HC though. Ward is the major element that wouldn’t have full alignment between them, which I think is not ideal. Last year would have been perfect time to bring in a new HC.
