Even bad players sometimes make a good play.

To be fair, as replaceable as Barton is, one thing he is good at is the eyes on the QB zone coverage interception just like the Hill one

If Cam can get to the sidelines, go for it but I don't want to see many designed runs for him where he gets tackled in bounds. (like the injury from last season.)

When he tried to get to the sidelines this past game he looked so slow and lost the ball. I don't know he just looks slow as molasses to me 

 

If he's not a guy you can draw a designed run for, I just think it best not to run him. The risk to reward just isn't there

 

He can scamper for a couple of yards maybe but encouraging him to run is a mistake imo

I heard him say it when he was getting interviewed, he casually threw it in there.

 

It makes perfect sense to game plan the back-ups for real action. Totally different reasoning for the Seahawks and makes great sense. Get the depth prepared in case they have to play in real action.

Hooker plain refused to use his arms to tackle early last season and it led to some horrific missed tackles where he just glanced ball carriers who just continued through contact.

Ward looked “slow” because he was still looking for a receiver to throw to more than he was scrambling. The only real problem was that he didn’t know a defender was coming up behind him, which is how the ball got knocked loose. 
 

I agree that he’s not going to get a lot of designed runs. He will take off if he can’t find someone and there’s room for him to run, but they aren’t calling QB draws for Ward like Levis is getting.
