problem is that it’s been a clown show recently — starting with the offensive line. All these nostalgic Titans clips posted recently, I’m hardly looking at the skill players. I’m staring at the Oline just consistently walling off defenders, playing physical. Shit is getting me bricked up.

We were spoiled for awhile. 3 franchise left tackles in a row. Good veteran centers seemed to be drawn here, landed solid guards in the mid rounds consistently. It was a strength for so long the fact it didnt just drop off some but went completely to shit so fast makes it feel even worse.

I'm not even talking about launching his shoulder pads into the stands. I'm talking about the Jags game where after he threw 2 picks and got booed by the fans he ran over to the bench pouting and refused to go back into the game until the coaches physically pulled him off the bench. The shoulder pad incident was just another example.

 

He's just another example of an entitled little bitch who was coddled his entire life and when he needed to grow up and deal with reality couldn't handle it.

I think we got one this time.  Cam has been aiming at this a very long time.  Every little stop he improves to the next one.  This is his team.  He's the man.  Came in here like that arguing with Jeff, he didn't pick no weak boy.  It was/is friendly, but who would talk back to Jeff?  His HC told the media "he told me he could hear what I {{the GD boss}} was saying."  He's the man!

He still went in and played though, yeah? 

 

There's a divide here between people that realized he was immature and needed to be handled a certain way and those who gave up when they saw that. There's also a version of VY pre and post the "incident" that got him benched to sit and learn for a season and a half... there may also be a version of Jeff that was actually attempting to help him to the version that told reporters where to hide in the woods to film his (to VY "made up") lowest moment. 

 

People love a comeback story.. Life isnt about who you were, its who you become.  VY sat the bench and worked and came back a better player.  He was by far the better QB the last 2 seasons here and was held out or sabotaged because of spite. I'm glad they are both gone but I will always say that Fisher should have been the bigger man and done his job as paid for, his pettiness destroyed the team and eventually his career arch. Vy was the Better QB of the two and did work hard to come back. Whether you think he deserved a second chance or not is another story. I think everyone does.

In Fisher's defense in 2009, how can you trust a QB who quit on the team twice and tried to kill himself when the pressure was too high?

No team was ever going anywhere with VY at QB. He was too unintelligent, lazy and mentally weak. Fisher was right not to want to draft him or start him. 

 

Remember VY in the team meeting boasting about having Bud's phone number in his cell?

Yeah sure,...

Except he didnt quit, he was frustrated but he still went in and played whatever times ya'll are talking about... and didnt try to kill himself.

 

That bullshit was always a setup. That suicide story came purely from Fishers mouth who never wanted him there in the first place, a marketing guy, and the scene the created where they got a camera guy to hide in the bushes.  Meanwhile Fisher is silent and grinning at VY  as VY is asking what the hell is going on and why there are cops talking to him like a hostage situation. VY just had a dead cellphone in 2008 when it was normal to not be on call 24/7.

I don’t get how close to 20 years later knowing what we know about Young that anybody could side with him and STILL blame Fisher.

heck take only the stuff that he has done since retiring (botching Landry’s name, almost losing that cushy UT job). Why on earth would anyone have trusted him to be the face of an NFL team.

The coach still has to do the job the owner paid him and told him to do. His hubris and denial of his job description destroyed him and eventually led to him becoming a league laughing stock. 

This all could have easily still played out with VY gone after 4-5 years and Fisher still coaching if he was just doing his paid for job rather than fluffing his own ego.
