My favorite is the 24-17 win over the Jags. The Titans had 5 1st downs and were 0-8 on 3rd down. VY had 85 yards passing and an 18 QBR. The Titans had two pick 6s and Finnegan returned a fumble for a TD. The Titans had one offensive scoring drive. Pacman had a 70 yard kick return, the offense took over and lost 1 yard and kicked a FG. Your favorite defining moment to seal your point is from a QBs rookie year in a game where he committed no turnovers? The year where KFC had a 1:6 TD:INT? The bad game where he didnt help was still better than the trash Jeff had on the field earlier that season. VY had 9 TDs and 17 INTs. He had a 71 passer rating and threw for over 200 yards 4 times. 46 QBR. In 7 of their wins the opposing team scored 14 points or less. In 4 of the wins VYs QBR was 22.5, 15, 19.7 and 12.6. In two of the wins he threw for 78 and 42 yards. You sound like a Goddamn retard, seriously Imagine making the argument with a straight face that a QB who had some of the worst production in history was a primary driver of the team's success. rns90, japan, OILERMAN, and 2 others

If your argument is that Kerry Collins wasn't great either, okay, but that's not the argument you've made this entire thread. My arguments on the topic were and always have been that Fisher was a shithead saboteur, VY likely wasnt making it anyhow because he's dumb af but the coach needed to be the bigger man and do his job, and that VY was a better option than KFC outside of like 10 games... but not ideal. Because It's inarguable. You can extrapolate that with all the hyperbole you want to mean whatever you think it means to feel better about your beliefs and arguments. Did anyone say he was the "driver of succes"? no. Did we have a better winning % with him.. lol, yes. Was he better than KFC here outside of like 10 games.. 1000x yes. That's akin to making the argument that Mike Kofer was a great kicker because he happened to win 2 superbowls on the 49ers or that Trent Dilfer was an elite QB with the Ravens. Those teams were good despite those players contributions not because of them. If you want to argue that Kerry Collins was mediocre and that QB play held back some talented teams over that period of Titans football, we can have a conversation but pretending like VY was 'good' in any sense of the word for the Titans is an absurd argument that does not deserve to even be acknowledged. Y'all just believed a narrative of a smarmy politician because you too didnt want the kid at QB. What an absolute shitbag of a human Jeff was. Huh? I watched him quit with my own eyes against Jax. A game the team was winning. He wouldn't go out on the field. And the media reported that he tried to quit in the middle of the San Diego playoff game which was before this... japan
2 hours ago, titanruss said: Do i think VY was a good team leader and could read defenses most of his career, a "good QB" in the definitive sense? No. Do i think we were a better team, more clutch, and multidimensional with him at QB with teammates that rallied around him much more than KFC? Do I think that KFC was a detriment to this team for just as many games as he was an asset and we win more if VY was playing in about half those games? Absolutely. The game most people remember and assign to VY being clutch was probably the Giants game in his first season. And if you really go watch that game, Pacman was the real clutch performer. First part is hyperbole and a terrible example based solely on the times they actually touched the friggin ball. Second part is just more shit made up because you don't read. No one said he was good... why would you even say that? Seems disingenuous. Better than KFC? Yes. Serviceable? Yes. Fisher had a significantly better winning % with him? Yes. Saved Fishes job 2x? Yes. Fisher was a better coach dealing with the guy he hated? Yes.

You specified it was VY's "QBing"... That's a verb in that context, meaning it was his actual play at the position that led to the wins.
