I think he's more of a Mike. Hill has better coverage skills
Justafan
10 hours ago, Starkiller said: With offenses looking to play more 2 and 3 TE sets you can be sure that our 3rd LB will be playing more snaps than that. I suspect they would like Williams to be capable of being more of a hybrid S/LB than just a traditional LB. He isn’t going to be Nick Emmanwori, but he did play SS in college so he has something of a hybrid background. I don’t know that he ever had the coverage skills to be great, but he’s probably a better matchup against a 3rd TE than Marcus Harris is likely to be. Bringing in Tony Adams as the 3rd S is another option, of course. Hell, I could even see shifting Harris to a safety alignment and bringing up Winston to play LB/S. They'll play some 3-safety and big nickel for sure, but the SAM in Saleh's defense almost always crowds the line, and they only line up in those base sets for obvious run downs because they become an extension of the d-line and usually have their hand in the dirt. Cedric Gray will not and should not play SAM. Ever. Edited August 9 by Justafan SleepingTitan, and reo

After 2027, probably. He was a disaster in NY and put his players' safety at risk openly. The NYG's hard knocks showed a weird guy at HC that felt like an OC trying to lead above his abilities. Being a QB guru is coveted but Cam is going to be a solid QB pretty much regardless. Helping him out isnt making gold out of chicken shit. reo, and TerryBoats

He's still a bit inaccurate down field which is why Tate had to make that one handed catch (a beauty) but that can be corrected over time. Reading the field matters more than anything right now and the accuracy will come along. The TD to Helm shows he has innate accuracy when his mechanics are in-line with his read. Not many QBs attempt that throw, much less with a dime to the back of the end zone. Keep him healthy and the rest will start to come together. I think a lot of ppl expect insane accuracy for qbs. A great basketball player shooting threes is career 45% of the time. (steve kerr). A WR like Tate just makes the goal bigger. IsntLifeFunny

I think so or at least a big part of it. Cam was really slow to get the ball out last year in the first half and largely what improved the offense was him improving imo. reo
