I feel like this is often a very underappreciated aspect. It's great to have players who knows what it takes and the big moment shouldn't phase them. Reads and sorts stunts and twists quickly with natural processing speed. Reliable anchor against bull rushers, rarely gives ground into the pocket. Effective on combo blocks with well-timed feeds and clean releases to linebackers. Year-over-year improvement is notable, with 2025 being his best tape by a clear margin. Versatility at center and guard gives him added roster value at the next level. Keeps a wide, consistent base when mirroring, rarely narrows or crosses his feet. SCOUTING REPORT: WEAKNESSES Short arms limit his reach and let longer defenders work into his chest. Feet stall after the initial surge, leaving him stranded against slippery defenders. Recovery quickness is below average once he loses positioning. Forward lean in his pass sets opens the door for counter moves. Effectiveness fades outside the A-gaps; outside zone fits are a concern. Can be steered and shed by nose tackles with length and active hands. ….. “Centers with this kind of processing, technique, and pass protection ability have a way of finding starting jobs regardless of where they get drafted. Coogan has started 41 games across two Power 4 programs, called protections in a national championship game, and improved his grades every single season. He will earn trust quickly in a meeting room because he knows his assignments, communicates clearly, and plays with discipline. In the right gap or power-heavy scheme, there is genuine starting potential here. He is the kind of interior lineman who may not test his way into a roster spot but will absolutely play his way into one.” Edited April 25 by Mercalius IsntLifeFunny, Omar, freakingeek, and 1 other
Alcibiades
Older player at a position of low value (in draft terms). Does not have great measurables and gets by on technique. Heady player, who will get to play because of it, but not dominant NFL traits.
