What we all predicted lol

By the way, someone made a very deliberate decision to drop this on draft day.

What a coward, doesn’t she know Jamal knows she’s innocent?

I don’t actually see anyone calling Russini a whore as much as talking about her reputation as an NFL insider(inside her).

She’ll never be able to report another story the rest of her life with any seriousness.

It also sounds like she’s a huge whore

She'll most likely pay a heavier price than he will. Whether that's right or wrong idk. Maybe it depends on the nature of how she did what she did but I can't see him losing his job over this whereas with her I can see a path where she never covers the NFL again. Again, right or wrong who knows? But it'll be lopsided either way.

All those times she's been flippant in interviews about subject matter like this aren't playing so well in hindsight.

She'll definitely pay a higher price than him and for once I don't think sexism will be there driving force behind it. Simply put, due to the nature of their jobs her integrity credibility is far more important than his. Fair or not, any future story with her name on the byline will leave people wondering if she came by her sourcing though legitimate means. Vrabel is a cheating piece of shit too but his cheating is not materially relevant to his job as long as he can smooth things over with his players who already love him and are likely to overlook things as long as they keep winning.

I get your point, but there's still SOME sexism in that. The fact that she's a woman is definitely part of the problem here (for her). I get that it's hard to imagine a male reporter using sex to get info, but that's kind of my point. Plus, for reasons (sexist reasons), she will be seen as a bad person for cheating MUCH more than he will, independent of their careers. But overall, I see your point. Vrabel will be fine. She won't. And a large part of that IS their respective roles.

Vrabel will be fine, I agree, but hopefully nationally some people start to see him as the POS that many Titans fans have known that he is.

I hope they have an understanding too as that would make the personal impact lesser. Same for Rusinni. Professionally though, there is no saving these two. Their credibility is complete shot. Vrabel's might be to a lesser degree but I can bet you some of his more mature players will lose some respect for him. I certainly would. A leader has to have his house in order or else it leaves room for questioning and dissent.

He's completely fucked as a HC because the questions won't ever stop. It isn't going away. Having that kind of distraction is cancer to a team.

He’s sort of safe ish.  I mean as long as he keeps on winning , he can wait for it to pass.  But once it goes downhill , the knives will come out.

That’s the sad reality of sports .  Infidelity is tolerated as long as you can produce a winner.

Pitino cheated on his wife and is coaching in the NCAA tournament again.

Different times and a different situation. Pitino could jump around to other schools. There's only 32 NFL teams, and Vrabel just came off a SB run.

That complete hatchet job she did on the Titans regards the Vrabel firing would be an interesting re-read now.

Who could forget her reporting that AJ Brown would be returning punts….

Sexism is surely a factor as it always is. I just don't think it's the driving force. She'll be punished more harshly than a male would but even if she was a man, her lack of integrity by fucking a source legitimately calls into question anything she's ever reported on or will report on now that we know how she conducts herself in regards to mixing business and pleasure.

The story isn't the affair. Vrabel won't be the first Coach to have an affair. Hell everyone knew Jay Gruden had a side check when he was the HC of the skins and he's been married since 1990. same with Russini, she won't be the first reporter to have had an affair but she might be the first to do so while castigating her husband nonstop on the air. The real issue is Russini's lack of journalistic integrity and the fact she can't objectively cover sports without getting personally attached to those she counts on as sources. This has been going in since she was a local reporter. Everyone knew it and joked about it. Its only gotten worse as she's hit the national stage. Never mind the fact she has a reputation for making shit up and isn't even a good reporter.

It'll go away. Men have survived much worse. I know about a guy that banged a porn star while his wife was pregnant and still became the president.

no he's not. Do you know how many athletes have side chicks? This won't impact his ability to lead a locker room one bit. He'll come out of this fine, guaranteed.

Bingo. The affair is the sizzle; the complete disregard for journalistic integrity is the steak and the steak is overcooked.

The media won't let it go. It's now a real story. It will degrade everything he does from here on out.
