Well done to PK he has been all over the Sweat saga and was consistently telling everyone he was going to be traded.   Also a rough day for Zach Lyons won't be able to give his weekly lectur

I thought it was much better to keep Sweat on his rookie contract than to trade him for peanuts. He's cheap and talented, so get what you can out of him and either let him walk or trade him his last y

All things considered, I’d say we got a pretty decent trade value for Sweat

Around the league people are pretty high on the Jets getting Sweat, more so than Titan fans.

It all hinges on if Sweat uses this as a wake up call. He has the talent.

And you think Julian Sayin totally screwing him in that Miami game was an indictment on his entire resume as a prospect? That one ball that was going around on twitter where non-ball knowers were calling him soft was entirely on Sayin. Also missed him on a wide open 80+ yard touchdown in that game

He didn't create much separation the entire game and short armed some passes.

Alex Styles was always a freak athlete at OSU so what he did in the draft isn't all that surprising for OSU fans. There were at times he looked like a fish out of water in coverage and what the NFL combine does NOT capture are football instincts and the guy never had great instincts

I was scrolling through TikTok last night and I saw so many people saying the Jets easily won the trade because of how much of a dominant guy sweat is. You can tell they look at highlights and not his whole game performance. He’s not a game wrecker. He’s a fairly solid 2 down run stuffer who has been slightly injury prone because of his lack of motivation to get into true football shape.

imo you can find 2 down run stuffers fairly easily in the league, and can probably find ones that are more motivated than sweat.

Achilles injuries usually take a year after coming back to get back to your pre injury self. I’d rather have JJ than sweat tbh. Edge is way more of a priority for the Titans than DT and JJ played great under Saleh when he was the coach.

Supposedly the 49ers are likely to release Bryce Huff, who they traded for from the Eagles at the request of Saleh.

The more I've looked into it - Jermaine Johnson actually isn't a "DPR" type, he's also pretty decent against the run on early downs, but Bryce Huff is that kind of player.

Is it possible that we could see JFM as their 5-7T, moving inside on third down, with a pass rush rotation of Jermaine Johnson, Bryce Huff, Oladejo in the event they go offense at pick 4?

Bryce Huff was not good last year.  That wouldn’t stop me from going edge at 4 .  Oweh would though .

It seems to me that Oweh is best cast in a Baltimore style 3-4 defense. Are the Chargers not going to go all out to retain him with all that cap space? After they traded a pick for him?

Boye Mafe is a guy who is better than Huff for sure, and who will hit free agency due to not being a great fit in the 3-4 scheme, and he'll take the most money regardless of being 100% guaranteed to be a full time starter.

Supposedly they want to re-sign  him but might not use the tag on him.

I don’t disagree that they might go WR at 4 but they still have a need at EDGE if you sign Huff .  I’m not sure on Paye.  In terms of impact, Colts fans can’t wait for him to be gone.

Yeah, Huff/Johnson would be a bandaid for sure, pushing off the need for a high end edge for another year.

Paye is another one, but Mafe is a better player with more upside.
