OILERMAN
This was more about the AFC as a whole than just a mediocre Pats team lucking into the SB. The two best AFC teams were the Bills and Broncos and the Broncos beat the Bills while losing their starting QB. Even those two teams were pretty flawed. The Bills defense was terrible and the Broncos were streaky. The Rams and Seahawks were way better than anything from the AFC. KC and the Ravens had injuries and a down year, Burrow has a surrounding mess. The Bills need a better team around Allen. Had the Texans or Broncos made the SB they would have been easily beaten as well. rns90, Starkiller, Aramis, and 1 other

Those loses carry extra weight because many believe those were the two best Titans teams with a shot of winning the superbowl. Im one of them but the AFCCG losses are worse imo. Popular Post OILERMAN
Jamal's entire narrative was based on Vrabel's success making Amy Adams look bad for firing him. He shot down an easy schedule or the Pats being lucky because that took away from making the Titans look bad for firing Vrabel. Amy Adams deserves criticism for a lot of the moves. Firing Vrabel isn't one of them. He did that all himself. He wasn't getting results on the field and he orchestrated his own removal. All of this would have been true even if the Pats won the SB, which they had 0 chance of doing lol! In a vacuum I'll take the Titans coaching staff and front office over what the Pats have right now. The media loves Vrabel and grossly over rates him. Dinx81, Jamalisms, Starkiller, and 7 others 8 1

This makes so much sense Well when Vrabel was with the Titans you knew what was coming because if he passed on first down a run was almost guaranteed the next play. oldschool
McDaniel also had a poor game plan. I suspect Vrabel told him to be super conservative because of the LT and LG issues plus Maye being so young. Vrabel tried to replicate the game plan against the Broncos which was dumb. You don't beat the Seahawks playing that way. rns90, japan, and IsntLifeFunny

I'm 100% convinced they coast to a championship if they win that game. titanruss, Starkiller, and Aramis

scine09
The worst one for me is the NE playoff loss at the end of the 2003 season. Those to me were the two best teams in football. It was also at the height of my Patriots hatred. Edited Tuesday at 03:17 PM by scine09

If the Titans play their cards right they could be in the thick of things pretty quickly. The Redskins went from 4-13 in 2023 to a conference championship and the Patriots went from 4-13 last year to the Super Bowl. I'd argue that we most likely have a superior QB to either of those teams with a HC that will breath competitive fire into them and an OC who could help Cam unlock his potential. Add the right pieces and we will be a problem for people next year. OILERMAN, and rns90
