Super Bowl LX Discussion

Vrabel started off with a great coaching staff. Over time he ran off all the good coaches and replaced them with shitty coaches. Time will tell if he does the same thing in New England. His relationship with McDaniels may keep him around longer, but it's not hard to imagine their egos clashing at some point.

The NFC Championship Game had the two best teams in the NFL.

Love it. This game wasnt nearly as close as the score. The Pats were embarrassed. Fuck them and fuck the Vrabel stans.

I can't help but think as the SB winds down   Trump is a pedofile

Yeah, I hope someone dies a video analysis to see if they can call it out and then looks backwards to even his Titans tenure to see if it holds or not. I guess I doubt it or they'd have trouble winning other games as well but ... rather fascinating.

Just go look at the formation on the TD and the formation on the rest of the plays. Vrabel talks a big game, but he's a coward. Until he gets a QB that can play like Brady and dice up the field one short pass at a time, he's cooked.

McDaniel also had a poor game plan. I suspect Vrabel told him to be super conservative because of the LT and LG issues plus Maye being so young. Vrabel tried to replicate the game plan against the Broncos which was dumb. You don't beat the Seahawks playing that way.

Vrabel went full meathead again this time in the Super Bowl.  At this point you have to really wonder whether or not he has changed as a coach.

Looked like the AFC of old this year.

If the Titans play their cards right they could be in the thick of things pretty quickly. The Redskins went from 4-13 in 2023 to a conference championship and the Patriots went from 4-13 last year to the Super Bowl.

I'd argue that we most likely have a superior QB to either of those teams with a HC that will breath competitive fire into them and an OC who could help Cam unlock his potential. Add the right pieces and we will be a problem for people next year.

It’s not that far off as a comp.  Young qb with a new coach and offensive coordinator plus money to spend in FA on the roster (or draft picks).  I don’t know if I’d go as far as the Championship game but I wouldn’t be shocked if we made the playoffs next year.

20-0 or bust.

It was one game.  People go too far in the extremes.  No matter what happened, he got his team to a Super Bowl.  I have a hard time criticising a coach for taking a team from 4-13 to 14-3 and the Super Bowl.  Regardles of the competition.  He did something right...

They were pretty conservative across the playoffs not just the superbowl.

He basically posts once a year and always thinks they will go undefeated.

Name must have just got lost in the noise then for me.

Ill let him have his thing though. Ill stick to screwing with @oldschoolthen and just call for the tank as soon as we lose a game.

I think some of that can be explained away.  At least the Denver game can be.

Next year will likely tell us a lot.  The schedule, in theory, should be a lot harder.  The Patriots have now had success and he'll have to try and replicate it.  It's just hard to crush a guy that did what he did this year.

The point never was whether or not the guy is a good coach.  No one is arguing that at all.  But whether or not the guy can win a Super Bowl.

We already have data here (from his time here) that he’s too conservative.  The entire playoff run just reinforced that for me .

You think Ward is better than Daniels and Maye?  He's gotta show more.  One guy had arguably the greatest rookie season by a QB ever and the other guy nearly won the MVP.

Of course he has to show up. I didn't say he's arrived, but you have to be blind to not see the potential in him given what he did this year as a rookie in spite of the team he was surrounded with and in spite of an offense that really didn't fit him.
