It doesn't have to be specifically Oladejo but this team has to be able to get production from their EDGE group and capitalize on the disruption Simmons and Franklin-Myers should create in the middle. What pass rusher that has never really pass rushed in college, that changed positions and was never really good in college at either spot - ever developed based on pure athleticism early enough to warrant a second contract? Most project players don't even make it to their second contracts and if they do it's with a second team. Almost zero of them even develop to be contributors let alone reliable or good. Jevon Kearse(he was a good OLB). He played OLB at Florida and his last year occasionally rushed, but from standing up his last season. Lots of questions there for now, but plenty of upside. If Slater ends up being a good starter then that’s a huge difference right there. If Latham stays healthy and lives up to his potential then that’s a big boost. And Skoronski is already really good but he could take that next step.
