If we were going to play a 3/4 it would be awesome. With the saleh defense he would make a much better pair with simmons but i think it somewhat comes down to what they think of sweat.

With more of a 4-3 system they may want Woods regardless. The rotation would be strong with those 3.

No idea where this nugget fits so thought it might worth starting a thread for all Titans non HC offseason discussion.   This was meant to happen last offseason but Sweat never showed up so

Who will we draft? The answer has been there the whole time.

That’s a lot of hooch

Most people are saying "Bain, Bailey, or Reese" but what if it's trade back and take Woods?

They already have that stud IDL guy in Simmons and right now they have a bunch of replacement level players at EDGE that is why nobody is talking about Woods.

True, and sweat even if he drops weight would give you flavor for a different front. Still seems like a luxury with all of our "desperate" needs. I wouldn't be mad with it though.

Parker is a better fit than Woods.  Saleh wants DL that can rush the passer.

He wants one gap penetrators/pass rushers and he also wants numbers. With the Jets he said he didn't want any DL playing more than 35 snaps in a game.

Exactly why Simmons is going to get a massive and well deserved extension this offseason.

A disruptive 3T is the single hardest thing for an offense to deal with. I put it above EDGE. The problem is those guys are incredibly rare.

When you get elite players at both positions then you start getting what Seattle and the Texans have

The combine is next in the process.  Tip.....assuming they run, watch the 40 times of C. Tate and M. Delane.  Both are expected to run average times.  If either surprises with a better than expected time, the rankings at the top could change.

Titans need a WR 1. I don't think Doubs, Pierce or Robinson are that guy. I recognize they are the best in this class. But overpaying doesn't make the guy better.  Doesn't mean I hold on to Ridley (also not a WR 1). Rather buy meat and potatoes in free agency and then get the upside of players in the draft.

Who is C. Lake?

In a discussion about Saleh offense with the Titans on Reddit:

"Femi is gonna play DE for sure, likely with his hand in the dirt so he's not having to read the play. Unless he's doing a designed contain play he'll be rushing the passer or trying to stop the run. I think reducing his role in this manner will "unlock" him

Simmons and Sweat are about as an ideal 4-3 pairing as you can get for the interior. Elite level. Not a single worry there.

The other EDGE will likely go to Bain or Reese. If It's Reese, he's versatile enough to play EDGE, but could also play outside backer in the league in a 4-3.

Honestly more worried about our linebacking core as their responsibilities have shifted quite a bit."

Also if think Femi can be the wide pass rushers and play full time on the line, they will want a bull rusher across from him, eliminating Bailey/Reese as too costly as non-fit players and therefore Baine if they like him and think he can play strong or trade down or a WR at 4.   If they see Femi as a fit there, and they like one of the WR, that is the pick.

You almost never get WR1 in FA. Occasionally you can trade for one but the price tag is usually huge. They'll have to draft and develop one.
