You are trying to get back to league average play at the CB position. You sign one big time guy (Watson/Taylor/Dean) and then get a couple of guys who can do the job and play smart/sound/technical football. You look for your true #1 CB in the draft this year or next. They can trade for DJ Moore to be the top WR. Otherwise it’s going to be a while before they can reasonably find one. IsntLifeFunny

Yeah obviously. You said deep lol that’s different to me. Maybe if you don’t consider age, personality (woolen), or scheme fit. What would you consider a "deep" position in free agency comparably? Edited February 3 by titanskick8851

I know some are desperate for them to invest a high pick (1st or 2nd) on a receiver. They might, if a guy they actually like is their. But we should brace for the fact they may see other positions as more pressing this year and/or brace for the fact guys they may target in this draft are gone before we can get one of them. BTiger3733
Drafting a WR is not the only reasonable path. We could renegotiate with Ridley, sign Pierce + Wan'Dale, and have a an enormously improved WR group this season while leaving room for a true WR1 next offseason. It's not a long term fix, but a 3-4 year deal with plans to only keep him 2-3 would be a nice addition, even if he's past his prime. Good locker room addition as well for a young team. I doubt it happens for multiple reasons, but it's a possibility I hadn't thought of before. This guy is done. Like Delanie was after the Miami game... I don't want to surround Ward with a bunch of rookies and 2nd year guys. I think you need a few vets in there. Moore is 29 in April so he's young enough that he's got at least a few more good seasons left. We're not going to find a WR1 unless we draft it and develop it ourselves. But Moore gives you a proven veteran who can help in the short term while we try to find that guy. I'm curious what Robinson's going to command. On one hand, yes he caught over 90 balls and 1,000+ yards. On the other hand, he's a 5'8" WR who is only going to be a slot guy. Tungtide
Byard is still productive, and still has a home here. He's going to be a free agent. They should try to bring him back if the price is right.
